Wishes from Ixtacotak 1/2

Nenetl. She sat in the early morning light watching the rising sun. She was checking her weapons and gear. Once this would have brought her calm and focus as she fiscally and mentally prepared for training or honorable combat. Now though it only brought painful memories of comrades pointlessly lost in useless battles and dread at the coming battles. The lord she had been born under and become a warrior to serve had been a hard ruler but he had been fair and honorable. When his forces went to war it was to protect the people or for a great reward that brought territory under his rule. Then the usurper came. The old lord had been killed in the confrontation and the tyrant had taken over. The usurper was a vain and arrogant ruler who thought nothing of throwing the lives of warriors away just to please his ego. She had watched her fellows fall for nothing more than his amusement. She now felt caught in a position without answer. Her honor demanded she serve loyally yet she heart and head knew she needed to find a true lord not this pretender. As the sun was about to rise from behind the trees she saw potential salvation. A bright light in the sky the streak of fire marking a Dragonfall. Before she could think herself out of it she cast out her wish. A portal snapped open before her, grabbing her gear she stepped through to her new lord and master a Great Dragon.

Metztli. Metztli sat at the window of her room. She watched the great city bellow in the predawn light. How many more sunrise would she have? She felt inside herself. She couldn’t tell exactly but she knew she had burned decades of life already. She had watched her teacher perish healing one of the Dragon Lords. The Dragon had then consumed the lifeless body and ordered the next lightweaver to finish the healing. She felt her time would come soon. She was drawn from her musings by a burning streak of light in the sky. For a moment she couldn’t believe it. Her chance to escape this gilded cage. She cast out with her wish. As the portal opened she rushed through with a laugh. She was finally free!

Itotia. Itotia was exhausted. The priest had kept her in sexual torment all night for his strange ritual. He had been ranting as he abused her about making her the perfect offering. How, she would be the perfect trade and proof of his worth to his new master. She was wrung out and almost couldn’t think. The memories of all that she had been **** to endure in these past few months threatened to break her mind. Even worse, the small but growing part of her that enjoyed at least part of what was done to her. It had to be some kind of dark sorcery from the priest. How else could a woman enjoy the degradation and humiliation she had suffered. Suddenly, she was pulled back to the present, the priest was cackling to the sky “You have come my lord! Take this offering and make me your High Priest, your immortal advisor!” He shouted to a burning light falling across the sky. A Dragonfall, she was to pay the price for this perverts wish. She wished with all her heart that she had never met this monster. In a flash of light a wish was granted.

Tozi. Tozi crouched at the edge of the small glen. Mother was breathing slowly. The arrow wound was bleeding less but that didn’t seem to be because it was getting better. She had broken the shaft of when they were escaping the hunters but they hadn’t had time to stop the blood flow. Her mother had taught her how to senses when **** neared and she felt it now. With tears in the eyes she looked to the sky and wished for her mother to be better. In a flash of light woman and fox disappeared, just before the net hit the ground.
