What if... Yahya had met with Gosha after Toki's ?

Separations are always bad.

Yahya knew that well.

Most people have separations with relatives, or with spouses, the dark horse's separation was with a Komodo dragon.

Few times on his life Yahya felt as lost and abandoned as when Gosha left. Never had he felt as hurt and betrayed as when he saw the lizard turn his back on him and just walk out of the door.

Yahya was lost for a little while after Gosha left, and he was more than a little salty. Still, he was able to get his game together, and focus on his goal. The goal that Gosha abandoned along with him. The goal to be the Sublime Beastar.

And Yahya did it.

Through hard work, focus, boundless dedication and an ardent desire to improve society, Yahya climbed the steps to become the Sublime Beastar faster than any other animal before him.

Yahya was already the most important animal of society, and everyone that met him looked up to him and respected him. However, Yahya was surprised for finding out that it was not as fulfilling as he had hoped.

It was almost empty.

Was it because he was alone? Because gosha had abandoned him and left him to shoulder all of the responsibilities alone instead of shouldering it with him?

Yahya didn't allowed himself to be weighed down by emotion. As the Sublime Beastar, he no longer had this luxury. He continued to focus on his work, aiming to work with all he could to fulfill alone the dream both he and Gosha once shared.

For a while, he managed to. The responsabilities were so great that they took every second of his time, and they didn't gave him time to think of much else. Still, his mind always seemed to somehow wander back to Gosha. To the one who was supposed to be there by his side. Who was supposed to be there covering the one part of his vision where he could not see. To be by his side no matter what, instead of running away with air-headed wolf bitches.

Yahya soon found himself wishing never to see the face of that female wolf again.

However, he ended up seeing her.

Over a year after Gosha left, Yahya once more saw her face. In a file reporting her ****.

Yahya was surprised. He didn't expected to see Gosha's wolf lover again. Certainly not on a file that was brought to him for investigation due to "suspicious circunstances" regarding her ****.

That wolf had took Gosha away. She was the reason why his partner had left him. Yahya had no reason to care about her, not even for her **** or anything regarding that fact. So much, that he was just about to close the file and put it somehwere and never look into it again, until he saw the cause of ****:

Yahya knew what that meant.

She was killed by Komodo dragon's venom.

Gosha.

Many questions formed on Yahya's mind on that moment. Many possibilities and scenarios ran over his mind, each one more unsettling than the last.

Yahya took that case himself.

On the following morning, he was standing before a door, and he already knew who he was going to find on the other side, if his information was correct.

It took him nearly five minutes before he **** himself to knock the door. There was no answer, so he knocked again. He was about to knock a third time, when the door finally opened.

Yahya and Gosha looked at each other's eyes, both of them looking like they were looking for what to say.
