What happened in the last two hundred years after Edward and Amakir were born

In the last two hundreds years, relations between Mirantia and some other nations began to deteriorate. Starting with the marriage between the members of the House of Ramu of the Kingdom of Cerro and the House of Mevor respectively, thus making both kingdoms of the personal union of the House or Ramu.

A hundred years later, the discovery of the New World on the other side of the Great Ocean caused quite some sensations back in the Old World. As a result, the expeditions sponsored by the Kingdom of Cerro are launched and colonize a large swath of the territories in the New World.

Along with Obscuria and the territories in the New World, the Kingdom of Cerro also recently formed an alliances with Kingdom of Taiyar that located between Obscuria and the expanding Onurcan Sultanate, and a number of Tiberian city-states located on the Tiberian peninsula across the sea that located in the south of Obscuria.

Mirantia and some other nations also joined in the quests to colonize and explore some territories in the New World as well. With Mirantia started 25 years after the discovery of the New World while its other geopolitical rivals like the Kingdom of Darkland located on the south of a large island nearby is simply sponsoring privateers to explore and raid Cerron colonies and trading fleets in the New World for loots. However, the activities of raiding the Cerron colonies and the trading fleets by Darklander privateers have greatly diminished to the point of almost cease when Darkland has fallen into political disorder, thus allowing the fleets full goods, gold and gems from the New World to come to fund the Holy League's war chest with little to no interruption.

Unlike during the reign of King Malcolm back 200 years ago, Mirantia is now surrounded by hostile nations because Obscuria and Cerro are now functioning as the personal union under the House of Ramu while the Kingdom of Darkland fell into political chaos because its previous King died without a male heir, resulting in many noble families to fought each other for the hands of the recently ascended Queen. As for other nations like the Onurcan Sultanate and the Kingdom of Warland, latter which is located in the north of the nearby large island and share borders with Darkland, they still have warm relations with Mirantia. New nations such as the United Boroughs, the Berenkian Commonwealth and the recently united Crystalia-Snowland also have good relations with Mirantia as well.

Twenty seven years ago, a war between the Onurcan Sultanate and the Kingdom of Cerro erupted after Mirantia was defeated by the Cerron troops during the Second Tiberian War in an attempt to protect one of Mirantia's loyal vassals in the Tiberian peninsula. As a retaliation, the Kingdom of Taiyar was conquered and annexed as one of Onurcan Sultanate's eyalets and its King, who happened to be the brother-in-law of the King of Cerro, was killed on the battlefield. As a result, the King of Cerro formed the Holy League, which is consisted of Cerro, Obscuria and a number of Tiberian city-states loyal to the King of Cerro, in opposition the Allies, which is consisted of Mirantia, Warland, Onurcan and the United Boroughs.

Due to being embroiled in political chaos, Darkland is unable to join the Allies or the the League. As for Crystalia-Snowland, it decided to remain neutral to preserve its good relations between both sides of the conflict while the Berenkian Commonwealth is engaged in a war of its own against the nomadic tribes that kept raiding the Commonwealth's territories for slaves and loots, thus preventing the Commonwealth from joining the Allies or the League in this war.

During the first decade of the war, most of the conflict took place at seas. With no significant changes occurred, the League and the Allies decided to wage war on multiple fronts on lands instead. On the Taiyar front, the Allied troops are besieging Obscuria's walled capital of Diani for more than ten years. On the United Boroughs' front, the Allied troops are engaged in the frontier skirmishes against the League's troops at the U.B's borders with Obscuria while several naval engagements occurred in the sea against the League's fleets.

So far, there are no attacks against Mirantia or Warland by the Holy League yet. But anything can happen at anytime.
