What is going to happen when they get there?
Welcomed in by a lady in a black dress...
As the doorbell rang, Jake took the red plastic rain camp off of him and Sally and shook it off.
“Hello!” a girl’s voice came the door as it opened.
Jake and Sally looked at woman who opened the door.
“Trick or Treat?” Sally asked sheepishly.
“Jake and Sally?” the woman asked.
“Yes,” Jake said.
“Come on in, we have been expecting you,” the woman smiled.
Jake and Sally entered looking at the woman, her pale skin was highlighted by her black satin dress with a very fine black lace spiderweb pattern over it with a deep plunging neck and a high leg slit up her right leg and was rocking her black hair in curls.
“Elvira was it?” Sally asked.
“Actually, I was going for Morticia Adams,” the woman smiled, “But thank you. Lilly by the way. I like your Puppy and Kitty combo.”
Jake suddenly felt silly in the wet brown sweat pants and sweat shirt with the dog ear head band and painted nose and eye. Sally giggled as she posed in her black catsuit with hair band and heeled boots.
“Thank you!” Sally responded cheerfully.
“Want to get a drink? The refreshments are right this way,” Lilly gestured.
“Actually, is there a bathroom I can use?” Jake asked.
“Oh of course,” Lilly smiled and pointed down a hallway, “Right down there and to the right, the door with the Handicap sign on it.”
“Thanks,” Jake said, “I’ll meet you at the refreshments, right?”
“Sure,” Sally smiled.
“Right this way,” Lilly smiled as she gestured down another hallway.
Sally and Lilly walked back down the hall to the open door and walked in. There were a bunch of girls dancing and music playing. It was a sorority house having a Halloween party. Right by the door way was a table of drinks. Lilly grabbed a mug and turned to Sally.
“Want to try the Witches Brew or Hot cider?” She asked pointing at the bubbling pot or the kettle.
“Witches Brew?” Sally asked.
“One of our sisters is an engineering major so she made this rig to turn bottled apple cider into bubbling cold cider by running an dry ice aerator in it,” Lilly explained
“I think I will try the hot cider, if you don’t mind,” Sally said before adding, “What’s in it?”
“Just Apple Cider, brown sugar, a hint of cinnamon and a touch of witch craft?” Lilly joked.
“Right,” Sally held out the mug.
Lilly poured from the pumpkin shaped tea kettle that they clearly kept for parties and giggled. Sally took a long deep drink and smiled. It was good, and warm, just what she needed after walking in the rain.
“More?” Lilly asked.
“Yes please!” Sally said.
