Weiss thinks Ruby is bluffing

Weiss huffed with annoyance at Ruby's declaration.

"Please Ruby. You really think you can manipulate me to go with Jaune like that? You won't do it. No self respecting woman would. Naked in front of all my colleagues? Forget the initial humiliation, your reputation would be ruined."

"I'm not joking!" Ruby said, her face still as red as her cloak. "I'll really do it. I'll strip down and walk in there with nothing on. Keeping my word is more important than what people think of me. Could you live with that? Your partner and team leader doing something like that?"

"Well I think I'd be mortified. If you ever actually did that that. Which I don't think you will." Weiss said with a frown.

Ruby would be mad at Weiss doubting her word if she wasn't so embarrassed.

"Now if you excuse me, Yang and I need to leave and make sure everything is ready before anyone arrives since we helped set everything up. I'll wait for you to show up, if you ever do."

Weiss gathered her dress and left out the door. Yang hurriedly gathered her own things before going up to Ruby.

"Rubes, don't do anything you'll regret later. You don't have to prove anything to anybody. Besides, as your older sister I officially forbid you from going naked to the dance." Yang said with a concerned look.

"You 'officially' forbid me?" Ruby said as she tilted her head.

"Yeah. Besides, dad would kill me if he found out I actually let you do something like that. But unofficially, if you show up nude I guess I'll have to take so many pictures of you. I think I can survive dad." Yang said with a grin.

"So...do you want me to go naked or not?" Ruby asked still confused.

Yang sighed. "Just do what you have to. If you're ok with with appearing completely nude in front of everyone in this place, everyone taking pictures of you, and never ever living it down, than by all means do that. Otherwise, put on that dress and those high heels you bought, come down, and have a great time."

Yang hurried out the door.

Her one remaining teammate regarded Ruby from her bed.

"So...that was confusing." Blake said with a blank look. "Ruby you really don't have to prove anything to Weiss. Just put your dress on and we'll go have fun."

Ruby's mind buzzed with indecision. She had made a promise and then she had made a big deal of it. Then Weiss had all but dared her to do it. But it would be so embarrassing and humiliating. Going naked in front of all your friends and teachers? Who even does that?
