Weiss is so happy

Weiss walked down the hallways of Beacon Academy with a slight bounce to her step as she made her way back to class. All her worries seemed to fade away from her like they no longer existed. Weiss knew they existed, but that they simply didn’t hold her down anymore. Her worries about proving her superiority and skill to others didn’t seem as important anymore. Any lingering traces of disappointment about being a team leader were wiped away.

Of course, she was happy that she had an incompetent leader who needed help to succeed. Just today, Ruby demonstrated that by making a fool of herself and making the rest of them look bad by association. She couldn’t be happier that people looked down on their skill. It just meant that they underestimated them in future encounters. It would be especially valuable when the Vytal Festival rolls around.

Not too far from the classroom, she saw Jaune approach her with a couple of bruises and new scratches on his armor. Weiss knew that he must’ve finished a spar in combat class; no doubt in her mind that it was Cardin, yet Jaune was sporting a friendly and what he considered charming smile as he walked up to her.

“Hey, Snow Angel.”

Weiss smiled loving the way he disrespected her by calling her a pet name she clearly didn’t want and despised.

“Hello Jaune, rough battle,” responded Weiss as she gestured to a new dent in his armor.

Jaune happily replied, “Yeah, Cardin kicked my ass. However, I’m happy that it’s allowed me to see you again, Snow Angel. Will you finally be my girlfriend?”

Weiss's heart skipped a beat as Jaune once again asked her to be his girlfriend. She couldn’t help but admire his unrelenting persistence and aggravating advances in the face of her constant rejection. Not to mention his clear lack of interest in her as a person and only seeing her last name Schnee. It made her so happy that he wanted her for her money and influence over her value as a person.

Weiss happily replied, “Of course, I’d love to be your girlfriend, Jaune. I don’t know why I haven’t accepted before. I’m glad that you’re an obnoxious idiot who has absolutely zero battle skills.”

“Great, I knew that confidence is the key. Let’s go tell everyone else,” Jaune says as he grabs Weiss’ hands.

Weiss wraps her hands around Jaune and smiles as she looks up at him. The two of them make their way back to the classroom to see everyone hanging out and having fun.

Nora locks onto the two of them holding hands and says, “OH MY GOD! Is it really happening?! Are you two together now?!”

Jaune smiles proudly, “Yep, we made it official a couple of minutes ago.”

Ren responds, “Good for you Jaune. I’m sure you’ll be able to make it work.”

Pyrrha smiles, “I’m so so so happy for Jaune. I couldn’t be happier that you’re in a relationship with Weiss. It's the best news I’ve got all day.”

Ruby overhears the conversation and jumps in.

“Wow, that’s great Weiss. I didn’t expect today to be this exciting.”

“I’m just as surprised as you. I certainly didn’t think I’d wake up today with the thought of gaining a new boyfriend.”

“You might not be waking up alone tomorrow,” joked Nora as she hugged Weiss to express her happiness.

Ruby nudges Pyrrha and says, “I guess your partner is going to be a bit busier from now on. I’m sure he’ll still make time for his partner.”

“You’re right Ruby. I’m glad that Jaune is completely ignorant of how much I love him and want to be his girlfriend so he can focus more time on Weiss. It just means that I must work so much harder to steal him away from Weiss.”
