Wake Up

"Wake up, sleepy head." I flutter my eyes open to the sound of Lucy's voice. "You slept all day."

"What time is it ?"

"About 5pm. I didn't get out the house either to be honest. When I woke up my legs were so sore from yesterday, I couldn't even leave the bed," she puts her hand on my chest, "watching you sleep was cute though."

"You didn't do anything weird while I was asleep?" When I asked that Plue jumped on my stomach and hurt like I just got punched.

"Great job, Plue! That is for treating me like I'm some sort of creep."

"I was just messing with you. By the way, I'm down to use the aphrodisiac next time."

"Really?" she asks with hearts in her eyes.

"Sure."

"I'm telling you, you're going to live it," she says leaning down to kiss me.

After she breaks the kiss I realized "Wait. If it's 5 then, Erza and Ada should be back with my little sister by now. We've got to go to Fairy Tail now."

"I'm guessing we're not doing a quickie before leaving."

When we arrive at Fairy Tail, the sun is setting. My mom is the first one to see me. "John, where the hell were you?" she asks right before she sees Lucy walking right behind me. "For fuck sake, John," my mother rarely ever cussed. If she did, she must have been so pissed, her words ran quicker than her thoughts. "Anyway, Erza and Ada aren't back.""But it's about to go dark."

"Exactly," said Mirajane on a grave tone. "If they're not back by then, we have to assume they failed their mission."

"Then we have to wait for more members of the guild to comeback before we do anything," said Mirajane.

I felt my blood pumping through my body, pounding at my eardrums. "You don't know if they'll even be alive by then."

Mirajane answers trying to keep her calm "Sending more people right now will only put us more at risk. We have to be cautious here John. This foe is on a completely different level from Kargalgan."

"fuck that"

"What did you say?"

"I said FUCK THAT! If cautious means sitting down on my ass hoping someone else will solve my problems, then I'm done being cautious. I'll do what I should have done from the beginning: I'll go save Kylie myself."

"John," Mirajane starts before getting cut by Marcus.

"I'm coming with you," his imposing body rose from his seat, "I'm not about to leave Ada on her own anymore," he shakes my hand "We're saving them, no matter what."

A faint flame whooshes out from Jasmine's breath "I'll come with you."

Lucy clinged onto my arm "I'm not letting you get killed by Dracula babe. Not that he could anyway. I'm coming."

Mom added herself in "I'll be going too."

I refused "No, mom. I want you to stay here."

"You shut up, John Doe. When we come back from this forsaken place I'll have a thing or two to say to you. But one thing I will say now, is Kylie is not just your sister, she's my daughter. And fuck me if I'm letting my two kids slip away from me again," she says angry with panic and sadness threatening to break her voice.

Seeing my mom like this. I couldn't bring myself to deny her emotions and tell her to stay here. "Alright mom, let's do this together."

Our small party leaves the doors of the guild when Mirajane stops us again.

"Don't stop us Mirajane," Marcus says.

"I can't let you guys leave. Not alone. I'm coming with you."

"But you have to stay to look after the guild," Lucy responded.

"I'm not too fond of it, but I entrusted the guild to Luxus while we're out. Which is all the more reason to come back as quick as possible."

Marcus slaps her back "You got that right, Mira."

"Thanks Marcus. Never do that again."
