That Was A Thing

Visiting The Guilds

Innu and I leave the mall and I text Hino and Myla that I'll be there in about ten minutes before we get on the Motorcycle.

"What are we doing now Master?" Innu asks me.

"Did Asami or Luna tell you about the guilds?" I ask her and she nods. "Good, they want to see you and the baby Dragon. So we're going to see them. Also don't tell them about what happened in the store. Oh and could you call me by my name, at least while we're around the other guilds?"

"Sure Eric. And I won't tell them." She replies and I start it up. I drive down to the guild hall and stop about one block away. We get off and I shrink and store the Motorcycle. "Why are we getting off here? This doesn't look like what I thought the place would be." Innu asks.

"I don't have my license for this yet. So I'd rather they not see me on it." I tell her and she nods. We walk the rest of the way there and I see Myla waiting by the entrance.

"Hey Eric, is this her?" She asks and Innu steps forward.

"Hello, my name is Innu!" She says a little to exited.

"Hey Innu, I'm Myla." Myla responds and leads us inside. Once we're inside and the doors close behind us Myla turns around. "Innu, you can take out any claws or tails you have. I hear it can get uncomfortable keeping them tucked away." Innu quickly does and reveals her claws, scales and tail but I notice she keeps her wings away. Is it really that uncomfortable? I have no issues keeping mine away. But I guess mine don't count considering they're made of magic. I wasn't born with these claws after all. We get to a door I haven't seen before and Myla opens it. Inside is Kagiyama, Sugano, Hino, Kallen, Liz and a man I've never met before. They're all sitting on couches or recliners. There's a couple more empty and a few coffee tables around. It looks like a typical resting room but with more places to sit.

"Hey Eric, thanks for coming." Kallen starts before the man stands up.

"Do you really have a Baby **Dragon as a Familiar!?" He asks very excited and eager. He quickly apologizes and sits down. "Sorry about that. My name is Strom, I'm a Monsterologist**. I study monsters and other magical creatures. I'm very passionate about my job and love researching and discovering new facts about them."

"That sounds like it's dangerous." Innu says and he laughs.

"It can be. However I rarely enter the field during actual combat. I always study them after they've been restrained. We rarely ever capture and keep them though. So it does get frustrating at time. Sorry, I'm ranting again. So do you really have a baby Dragon as a Familiar? And are you really a new Subspecies of Wyvern?" Strom asks me and Innu.

"Yeah, Innu here is a Phoenix Fire Wyvern that I Evolved into a Phoenix Demonic Flame Wyvern." Before I can continue he reaches into a bag next to him and interrupts me.

"Would you mind if I took a blood sample?" He asks me while pulling out a needle.

"Innu? Would you give him your blood?" I ask her and she turns to me.

"How would I do that? And do you want me to?"

"Yeah, and he'll stick the needle into your arm and draw some of your blood." She nods and he walks over to her. He draws some of her blood quickly and I take off my gloves.

"I take it that's your Familiars Mark. Kallen says and I nod. Strom sits back down and puts Innu's blood in a case before placing it in his bag. He looks over at my mark and takes out a camera.

"Could I take a picture of your Mark? All Marks are different and the magic circles on them can influence the Familiar in different ways. By studying and deciphering it I can see how that is. Oh, the differences it makes in the Familiar is just making it stronger or weaker, but on rare occurrences can give the creature new skills. However, the last confirmed Dragon Familiars Mark was before we thought to document them so it will take some time. This is because all Marks are different depending on the creature." Strom says and I just nod slightly confused. He takes a picture of my Mark and places the camera back in his bag. "When do you think you could bring the Dragon here?" He asks.

"Now, I stored him in my mark before coming here." I say and he starts getting excited again before managing to calm down.

"Could you bring him out now?" He asks and I nod. I reach out to a empty space and bring my baby Dragon out.
