“Who’s there?” Virginia asks, shakily.

“It’s me, Alex. The one who bit you yesterday.” I respond. The door opens a slight bit and I can see Virginia holding a knife. The door is chain-locked. Virginia closes the door and unshackles the chain. She invites me in, closing the door behind me.

Dani is surprised to see me.

“Are you one of the Bloods, Alex?” Dani asks.

“Nah, I’m not. I’m just a third party. I want to help you girls escape.” I say. I tell them what happened.

The girls whisper to each other.

“Okay, we will get our things and come with you to the safe zone. There are Bloods everywhere so we will give you a dagger to protect yourself with. We have anti-fang clothes that can prevent biting.” Virginia says. Dani walks to her bed and pulls out two bags and a dagger. With the dagger is a bag that says “Lily of the Valley”. I know about that flower, it is poisonous. I hope it is effective against vampires too.
