Vampires II

I sat silently, my head bowed, at Dracula's feet in the grand hall of his castle. The room was dimly lit, the flickering candlelight casting eerie shadows on the stone walls. The air was thick with an oppressive silence, broken only by the soft rustle of the vampires’ robes as they moved. Dracula’s three vampire henchmen and two human henchmen stood before him, their expressions a mix of frustration and concern.
One of the vampires, a tall and belligerent figure named Vesper, stepped forward, his voice dripping with disdain. "Kargalgan was a weakling. His failure means nothing. We can raze Fairy Tail in an instant."
A more cautious human henchman, Gregory, shook his head. "You underestimate them, Vesper. Fairy Tail is a real threat. They have three S-rank mages and two dragon slayers. Luxus and this John who defeated Kargalgan."
Hearing my brother’s name sent a shockwave of emotion through me. I fought to keep my face neutral, but the overwhelming surge of hope and fear made it difficult. To hide my emotions, I buried my face in Dracula’s thigh, feigning closeness. Dracula, misinterpreting my actions, stroked my hair gently, his fingers running through the lace of the dress on my shoulder.
"You see," Dracula said, a hint of satisfaction in his voice, "she's growing closer to me. She understands the significance of what we are discussing."
A female vampire, Seraphine, narrowed her eyes at me, her voice filled with contempt. "Your indulgence in human affairs, especially with this one," she spat, glaring at me, "is unbecoming, my lord. We should focus on our strength, not dally with the weak."
Dracula's eyes flashed with anger. He tightened his grip on my shoulder, signaling his protective care and claiming me as his own. "You forget your place, Seraphine," he said coldly. "She is not just any human. Kylie is my adopted daughter, the Princess of the Night. You will show her the respect she deserves."
Seraphine flinched, stepping back. "My apologies, my lord," she muttered, her eyes downcast.
Vesper scoffed. "Fairy Tail is nothing but a nuisance. We should attack them now while they are still weak."
Seraphine, regaining her composure, added, "Vesper is right. They caught Kargalgan off guard, but a coordinated attack would overwhelm them."
Lucian, a silent and observant vampire, finally spoke up. "We need more information. Attacking without knowing our enemy’s full strength is foolish."
Dracula nodded thoughtfully, his fingers tracing across my collarbone, sending a chill through me. "Indeed. We must be cautious. My dear Kylie," he said, turning his attention to me, "what is your advice?"
I lifted my face from his thigh, my expression composed and controlled. I pondered deeply, knowing that my response could determine our next steps. "It is too dangerous to attack now that the S-rank mages have returned," I said slowly. "And we know nothing about this John. I propose that we send human henchmen to Wano to engage in diplomatic talks and gather intelligence."
Dracula considered my words, his eyes narrowing in thought. His fingers ran across my throat, and I felt his touch grow more intimate, more possessive. "An intriguing suggestion, my dear. But I will not send you. You are too valuable to me. I will send the human henchmen alone."
Seraphine sneered. "You place too much value on this human. She is not one of us and never will be."
Dracula’s gaze hardened, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper as his nails lightly grazed my skin. "Do you have ulterior motives, my dear?"
I felt a chill run down my spine and quickly shook my head. "No, my lord. I only wish to serve you better by understanding the world outside."
Dracula's expression softened slightly, but his hand moved to my breast, holding it firmly and possessively. His nails dug into the flesh near my heart, sending a sharp jolt of pain through my chest. The sensation was both intimate and invasive, making my skin crawl with a mix of fear and unwanted arousal. My heart pounded against his grip, each beat a testament to my resolve not to break under his touch. The vulnerability of having such an intimate part of me under his control made me feel more helpless than ever.
"You will stay here where I can protect you until I am sure there are no threats outside."
I nodded, understanding that pushing further would be futile. "As you wish, my lord."
Dracula turned back to his henchmen. "Prepare to send our human agents to Wano. We need all the information we can gather before making our next move."
As the meeting continued, I felt a flicker of hope deep within me. My brother was alive and fighting. I just needed to hold on a little longer and find a way to reunite with him.
