Use Seduction
I had considered what to do during my performance and, while I would have preferred to demonstrate my ability to follow a money trail through a dozen shell companies, trusts, and every other financial obfuscation mechanism, I decided to try and put myself in Mira's shoes and give a performance that might get me purchased by the same cartel.
Which is how I found myself recalling the countless hours I spent as a tween, endlessly practicing a dance which I would then ignore for more than a decade. It wasn't until {if husband==true}after The Asshole proposed{else} the anniversary of my first date with The Asshole drew near{endif} that I decided to perform it for him. And, after a bit of practice, the motions came back to me, leading to a performance that he couldn't forget.
Though I would have liked to have music to keep the beat, I didn't have that luxury. Instead, I began my silent dance with some sensual stroking of my body, not at all unlike what some of the other girls were doing out of the corner of my eye.
A minute later, the actual dance began, with shimmying and swirling my hands, leading to the climatic moment when I scooped up my eponymous umbrella.
While I couldn't manage the pirouette or rapid position changes of the body paint scene, I pretty much nailed the rest of the dance and I finished just as a chime sounded, signaling the end of the performance period.
"I didn't know you could dance!" Cathy says excitedly.
"Well, I can do that dance," I hedge.
"You have to show me some time," she says with a vulpine grin.
{if cathyLove > 4}"Well, we'll see," I say, hoping she doesn't notice the vacant look in my eyes as I imagine doing just that.{else}"In your dreams, maybe," I say with a huff, causing her to attempt to sway me with big puppy-dog-eyes.{endif}
Anyway, a voice over the loudspeaker said, "Setenta e cinco, saia do palco à sua esquerda, do lado oposto de onde você entrou." And, it was immediately followed by another voice that said, "Seventy-two, exit to your left, opposite where you entered. Todos los demás, salgan a su derecha, por donde entraron."
At the command, we all moved in the indicated directions, just like good little sheep.
