Use Intelligence

I had considered what to do during my performance and, while I would have preferred to demonstrate my ability to follow a money trail through a dozen shell companies, trusts, and every other financial obfuscation mechanism, I decided to try and put myself in Mira's shoes and give a performance that might get me purchased by the same cartel.

Despite Mira's bubbly nature and often ditzy appearance, she had somehow managed to pick up a knack for chemistry during her time in high school. In fact, I think it was the only AP course she took and, fortunately for her, lest our parents reprimand her for wasting their money, she passed. So, while it was entirely possible that she would have tried some seduction routine instead, I thought that she'd have recognized that a cute young chemist might be more valuable to the **** lords than another pretty face.

Thus, my performance began when the balding prop man walked on stage and placed an easel and white board behind me.

I took the blue marker and began by writing out a simple titration and stoichiometric conversion. Unfortunately, I had forgotten the rest of my chemistry lessons, save the ideal gas law, which I also wrote. I switched to physics and wrote the formula for a Lorenz transformation. Then I switched to math and made up a simple differential equation that I had just begun to solve when the chime signaled an end to the performances.

A voice over the loudspeaker said, "Setenta e cinco, saia do palco à sua esquerda, do lado oposto de onde você entrou." And, it was immediately followed by another voice that said, "Seventy-two, exit to your left, opposite where you entered. Todos los demás, salgan a su derecha, por donde entraron."

I kept hold of the marker, thinking that it might be useful at some point and tried to seem graceful as I followed the instruction.
