As you step away from the edge of the mountain, turning that final corner and stepping into the tiny little plateau, that small little cavern carved into the mountainside. No lights from the Syndicate at all as the curve in the mountain you went around is blocking it from your vision. This tiny little plateau, probably ten feet in diameter, as well as a little cut out in the mountain side which almost looks like it was placed there, a tiny carved out room in the mountain. Lexie is standing there, on that plateau, her back facing you as she is looking into the carved out section in the mountain.

Two candles are lite, illuminated the plateau just a fraction. A few blankets rolled out into the side of the mountain, causing the perfect bed if one was to sleep. As you look at the back of Lexie as she stands there un-moving, looking into the carved out room of the mountain.

"Darien..." Lexie begins "What is...why is this here? Did you...did you plan this?" she asks. Her hand reaching up and brushing the strand of her brown hair behind her ear "Did someone..." she begins to turn around, ready to face you on this tiny little plateau "Did someone set this..." her body is facing yours. Looking at you now, her eyebrow raising at you.

"Lexie..." you stop her, gripping her hands once more as you step your body into hers.

She tilts her head, giving off that adorable slightly confused look.

"Since I got to the Syndicate..." you start "You were the first person I met." you take a breath "You took me in, showed me around. You believed me. You trusted me." you grip her hand tighter with both of yours "I began to love the Syndicate because of you. You were here for me. You cared for me. You..." your head leans down, looking at her feet briefly.

"Darien..." Lexie whispers, still holding your hand.

You clear your throat "I came here to get my sister back. To get Claire. I wanted to rescue her, to fight for her, to win her back." your eyes start to glaze over "And I found her. It was the happiest day of my life. To be able to see her again, to talk with her, to love her once again." you swallow hard "and ya know...when she was..." you pause, gripping Lexie's hands tighter, "When she was taken..." your eyes close..

Lexie stays quiet, just enjoying the embrace.

"When she was taken" you sniffle hard, no tears falling just yet "I thought I lost everything...I thought...there was nothing else in this world to fight for. Nothing else to care for. Nothing else..." you look down at the ground "Nothing else..." connecting your vision back to Lexie.

"Darien, I'm always here for you, I hope you know that. Whatever you need from me, just ask."

"I know that Lexie, you always are. You always have been." you reply, bringing one hand up to rub the side of her face, slowly caressing her cheek "You saved me." you continue to smile at her "You pulled me out of that dark place." you take a few deep breaths, just looking into her gorgeous brown eyes "I know I'm leaving tomorrow for war. I know there is a chance I may never see you again..." once more you close your eyes, tilting your head towards the ground "I just know that I can't leave until I say this one thing..."

"Darien, anything...what do you need?"

You continue to look at the ground, you swallow hard once more before tilting your head slowly back up, your eyes locking into Lexie's as you continue to hold her hand in both of yours "Lexie..." you slowly let out, releasing her grip with one of your hands, bringing that hand to your pocket, grabbing something.

Lexie's eyes start to go wider, looking into yours, her body like a statue. "Don't you...Darien..."

As your hand pulls out from the pocket, you continue to hold her hand with one of yours, at the same time you drop your body down to one knee, looking up at the beautiful Sunrider before you. Seeing her eyes go even wider, her breathing stop, her body still as can be.

"Lexie, you have always been there for me. When it was tough, when I was hurting, sad or even angry. You were just, there. Always there. No matter what. You're a person I can always count on. A person I could always lean on if needed. I didn't ask for any of it, you just did it. You did it because that's just the kind of person you are."

"If you..." Lexie's eyes are even wider, her body starting to shake slightly as she looks down at you kneeling on the plateau.

"I thought I didn't have anything else to fight for. Nothing else to care about..." you smile at her "I was wrong. I want to fight for you. I want to care about you. I want to..." you try to swallow "Lexie..." your mouth actually starts to go a little dry as you are actually getting nervous about what you're going to ask. "Before I leave for war, there is one thing I must know...one thing I need to ask you..."

"Darien..." Lexie mumbles out, almost inaudible.

"Lexie...I..." you smile at the beautiful women above you, one hand holding hers, the other hand finally starts to open up. As your fingers unwrap from your fist, a gem sparkles in the candle and moonlight. A beautifully crafted platinum ring with an Amethyst gem in the middle, the same purple color as the tulip you've cherished since you started your journey. That perfectly crafted ring, sitting in the palm of your hand. That beautiful ring that you specifically asked Rivianne to craft for you. That ring for the one person in your life you never wanted to be without... "Lexie..." you pause briefly "I love you." you smile, your cheeks puffing up big.

She matches your smile, happy that you finally said those words.

"The way you smile. The way you laugh. The way you joke around with me." you can't help but shake your head slightly, longing into this amazing Sunrider "I never want to lose that. I never want to be without you in my life." you grip her hand a little harder, beaming your happiness at her.

Lexie recomposes herself, looking back down at you, her eyes darting between your face and the ring your holding.

"You make me the happiness man in the world and I want to be with you forever. " you give her hand a little pressure as you raise the ring into the air a little higher "So, Lexie..." you smile at her once more, "Will you marry me?" you say as you lift that beautiful platinum ring into the air towards her.

Lexie can't help but beam the biggest smile she's ever had. Her head slowly already nodding up and down unknowingly. "Darien..." a tear falls off her face "Yes...yes I'll marry you!!" the biggest smile she's ever produced exits her face.

You slide the ring onto her finger and stand up, forever happy with this women in your life. Your arms wrap around her body, pulling her close into you.

"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!" Lexie cheerfully bursts out into your body as the two of you stand there hugging for a brief moment. "Ahhhh!!" she's ecstatic with joy.

You back your head away, looking at the joyful Sunrider "Lexie, I love you." you smile.

"I love you too...now come here." she whispers back, drawing her face towards yours.

Your lips connect passionately, parting your mouth, entering your tongue into her. The two of you share one of the most romantic kisses you've ever had, holding each other close, basking in the candle and moonlight of the night.

You were in complete bliss, enjoying each others company on that tiny special plateau. The kiss breaks as both of you stare into each others eyes, looking at each other, smiling as much as you can. Moments pass before Lexie looks up, a shooting star distracts her gaze, that fiery white trail sprawling across the dark night sky. She returns your stare and can't help but grin at you, pulling you close once more, her cheek resting on your chest, listening to your beating heart.

"You truly are an amazing women, Lexie." you whisper into her as you place your chin on the top of her head, resting it there as you two continue to embrace one another "I love you so much..."
