Under the cabinet

The cabinet under the sink is plenty big for you to fit under. For you are Chloe, master of hiding in small spaces! The plan is sound… that is, until you open the cabinet and find that it’s far from empty. Elaine’s numerous cleaning supplies are stashed under here, blocking you from using your brilliant hiding spot.

Channeling your own personal feelings on the subject of housecleaning, you devise the perfect strategy for handling the cleaning supplies: Throw them in the trash! If you move enough of them out of the way, you can still hide there. You’ll have to be fast, though.

You grab an armful of bottles and sprays, but as soon as you stand up, a couple of them drop to the floor with a clang. Uhh… Not good. It doesn’t help that the bottles are heavier than you expected, leaving you only to waddle towards the trash can. You only manage a few steps before Elaine dashes in, most likely reacting to the noise of the falling supplies. Your plan has failed…

“*GASP* Chloe!” Elaine cries in astonishment. You turn to her with a guilty expression. “Uh, it’s not what it looks like! I was just-”

“You’re going to clean my house for me! That’s so sweet of you!” she squeaks, her hands clapped together and face frozen in a broad grin. Uhhh… Definitely not good.

“That’s not it! I was just, umm, trying to move-” Once again, your attempted explanation is cut off.

“Awww, are you concerned you won’t do it right? Don’t worry, I’ll show you all my secret techniques for getting things absolutely spotless. Then you can tidy up a bit whenever you visit in the future!”

…Oops…

“Now, I believe we were playing a game of hide-and-seek. And I believe I just found you, as you’ve allowed your sudden interest in housekeeping to distract you from hiding.”
