Trying Something New

"Thanks for choosing me." Gavin says to his good friend Chloe as he plops down on the single bed. "I'm sure you and I will have a great time being roommates." he says as he crawls backwards onto the bed, propping himself up on the headboard as he pulls his phone out of his pocket. Gavin immediately turns it to the side to go into landscape mode and begins to use his index finger to poke around on the screen.

"Yeah..." Chloe looks at her friend "Of course!" she passes him a smile before turning back to her side of the room to start to unpack her bags "To be honest, I just didn't want to get stuck with somebody I didn't know very well, so I was kind of hoping either you or Zack." she informs as she pulls some clothes out of her luggage "I just feel so different from all the other girls here, ya know?" she carefully folds up an outfit and places it into the dresser "Ashley, Vicky and Heather are all such amazing girls. They are all so energetic, outgoing and super popular." Chloe continues, placing another outfit into the dresser "I'm hoping this trip will help us grow a little closer. I know we're friends, I mean, we call each other friends, but I just don't feel very connected with any of them. Like, as much as I connect with you or Zack." she asks as she places another outfit away. "Right, Gavin?" she turns around "Gavin?!" she says again causing the boy to look up from his phone screen "Were you even listening?"

"Of course I was Chloe!" he brings his phone down away from his face and looks at his best red headed friend.

Chloe tilts her head down and raises both her eyebrows up as she gives him a look that's full of bullshit "Okay, then should I do that or not?" she gives him a loaded question.

"Uhh.." Gavin stumbles a bit, trying to show off that he was listening "Yeah, probably for the best I think. If it was me I definitely would." he replies with confidence.

"Gavin!!!" Chloe bundles up a piece of fabric from her luggage and throws it at the brown haired boy "You weren't even listening, you ass!" she laughs.

The fabric hits Gavin in the face as he starts to laugh "I'm sorry Chloe!" he responds "I just had to check something real quick!"

"Oh whatever you big jerk." she turns back around to the dresser, pulling out another outfit to put away.

About thirty seconds go by before Gavin let's out a concerned voice "Uhhh, Chloe."

"What is it Gavin?" she spins around on her heels looking at her friend. When she does, her eyes focus and she sees Gavin holding up a tiny pair of black, white and pink transparent mesh boyshort panties, the sexiest pair of underwear she owns. "Oh my god!" her face immediately goes flush as she realizes that was the piece of clothing she just flung at Gavin "GAVIN!!!" she yells out as she dashes across the room, snagging the barely there piece of fabric out of the shocked face of Gavin. It was the fastest Chloe has probably ever moved in her entire life and just like that, she was over on her side of the room again, stuffing that sexy pair of panties away in the dresser "Sorry about that..." she squeaks out.

"Umm..." Gavin stutters "Just so you know..." he moves back on the bed again "I uhh, I bet umm, I think you would... uhh.." his mouth feels dry as he scratches the back of his head "I bet you would look really...Umm, well, ya know, sexy in those." he tries to compliment the red headed friend.

"Yup." Chloe replies and doesn't go any further as her entire being feels so embarrassed that one of her best friends saw her most seductive article of clothing. She tries to refocus herself and continues to pack away her clothes outfit by outfit.

"I-I mean like..." Gavin tries again "You should be...umm, proud because, I think they would look amazing on you. Yeah. Yeah, amazing."

"Okay Gavin." Chloe brushes him off again.

"I just want to let you know." he drones on "Don't be mad."

"Okay Gavin..." Chloe says with a little more frustration.

"I'm just saying, ya know?" he questions.

"I liked it better when you ignored me!" Chloe turns around, giving Gavin a mean stare.

"S-Sorry..." his head angles down as he looks at the floor "Just trying to make you feel better."

"I'd feel better if you pretend that never happened!" she begins "Now get off your phone, young man!" she stomps her foot as her hands go to her hips.

"Huh?" he looks up with confusion.

"I'm not going to allow us to just sit around and do what we normally do!" she tells Gavin "This trip is about doing something new. I'm going to try to get to know the girls and you're going to break out of your shell as well! Maybe get to know Brandon and Kurt a little better?"

"Chloe..." Gavin groans out with annoyance.

"I'm serious Gavin!" Chloe walks over to the bed and snatches his phone out of his hand "I'm going to put this in my dresser and you're not getting it back until the end of the day!" she skips back to her side of the room.

"Chloe!!! Come on!!!" Gavin pleads "What if I promise not to use it as much?! Please??"

"Nope!" she opens up her dresser and places the phone inside before closing the drawer "This cabin, for the rest of the day is now a no-phone zone!" she tells her introvert friend "I know you don't like it, I don't really like it much either but come on Gavin, let's try this out for a bit, try to do something we normally wouldn't do! I mean, do I really want to hang out with three super popular chicks who are all best friends for two weeks? Not really but who knows, maybe in a few days I'll grow really close to them and find out we have a lot in common."

"Yeah, I guess..." Gavin grumbles out as he brings his feet over the side of the bed.

"Now come on buttercup, put a smile on and let's go see what everybody else is up to!" she extends her hand out, offering it to Gavin to help him up.
