Try if her powers are true

Lying down on her bed, Mara closed her eyes and focused on the strange looseness within her. In a few seconds, there was a gentle shift as she felt her own soul slipping free. As she moved her spirit, she couldn't feel any weight. Only floating freely in her room like swimming underwater without pressure. Across from her is her own empty body sleeping peacefully on her bed, exactly where she left it.

For a moment, Mara simply observed her own empty body. “Wow… that’s really me,” she whispered softly, her voice echoing slightly in the quiet room. She then let herself fall back into place to see if she could return. Her eyes opened. She can move her body again while still having the feeling of being able to leave her body anytime. “It worked… I’m back,” she murmured in quiet disbelief, flexing her fingers. Mara's success grew her excitement. “Okay… this is real. I can actually do this,” she said under her breath, a small thrilled laugh escaping her. She knows she have to test her powers further.
