Waan didn't expect his daughter of all people to act in this manner, they had only two females in this tribe. At this rate their numbers would die out before the next generation could procure more females.
"Ibris, think. You are denying your own brothers the chance of having cubs of their own."
Waan pressed firmly, gripping the wooden staff in his hand. It was a symbol of being a cheif here in his tribe.
"If you do not comply with traditions... I'll have no choice but to ask you to leave."
The man felt sullen about it, but he wouldn't budge in his decision. He needed to prioritize the wellbeing of the tribe over solely his daughter.
"Ibris...."
Aki murmured softly, her body halfway sheltered behind her tall mate. They wouldn't throw them out would they? The man seemed quite serious though.
