To the kitchen

Meanwhile, Chloe and Gavin had decided that Brandon wasn't the only one who could need some food - especially as Chloe herself hadn't had any breakfast yet -, and so they both decided to set off towards the kitchen and fix that lunch.

"You know what that was about...?" Gavin seemed to ask her by just looking at her sideways, and made her realize how well the two of them had always been able to communicate with each other. The three of them, she corrected herself, while she could still hear Zack talking to the others in the hallway...

"No." She just shook her head lightly, and then they dropped the subject as none of them actually wanted to get involved. The most important part was to fix that lunch right now, while both of them were fairly happy about Kurt having left the building, and soon the two of them were working close together by the table. Just a little too close perhaps, but Chloe was just about starting to get real comfortable with that when she noticed Victoria slipping into the room from the hallway.

"Anything I can help with...?" Asked the pretty blonde, and looked a little lost as she glanced around for something to do.

"Well, sure..." Chloe offered her one of the trays - even as she felt another pang of jealousy towards the other girl. While she'd quickly got over that strange fear of the other girl being after her, she found that she still didn't know for sure where either of them stood in the whole Vicky-Zack-Chloe-situation. And things didn't get much better, when Zack arrived a few minutes later with Brandon still in tow.

"Smells delicious!" Said Ashley's boyfriend as he stepped in to see what they were doing, while Zachary at the other hand didn't say a word. Instead his eyes went first to Vicky, as if sizing her up for a moment, before looking up to find Chloe herself watching him intently. And then he did something very unusual - by turning away from her and slipping back out into the hallway again -, which caused her to really start worrying what was wrong with him.

Whatever was on his mind though, she figured it would have to wait until later before she could talk to him about it. Perhaps when things had calmed down a bit after Kurt's departure, or later back in their room - which reminded her there may be quite a lot she'd like to talk to him about, once they were back in their bed again...

She was still sorry to see him leaving however, and meanwhile she noticed that Brandon and Vicky getting along quite well together - which caused yet another of those envious fits to wash over her for some odd reason. What was so special about that girl anyway, that seemed to allow her to catch the attention of just about every guy that happened to just look at her...?
