Between Zack and Heather

Zachary was indeed feeling all torn up inside as he wandered off into the hallway again, and he wondered briefly what he was supposed to do about it.

While he tried to just forget about the incident with Kurt and Ashley - as it seemed to fix itself without his own further involvement -, there was still something else on his mind that he'd nearly forgotten about in all the commotion. Something that he'd been immediately reminded of when he saw both Vicky and Chloe in the kitchen, and made him realize there was someone else he'd need to talk to - and soon.

As he noticed Ashley heading for the bathroom, there was only one place left for him to look at really, and he felt a bit of shame as he returned to the door where he'd found Kurt and Ashley together just a while ago.

"Yeah, I'm in!" He heard Heather's voice answering him as he cautiously knocked on the door, and he swallowed hard before slipping inside of her room.

"Hi Zack!" She flashed him a quick smile as he found her sitting upright on her bed - looking like there was nothing in particular going on at all -, and then returned her attention to her phone as she was obviously busy reading something interesting. "What's up...?"

"Well..." He tried to come up with something to say, while he was deeply confused about her lack of reaction to his visit. Even the fact she was still only wearing that apron and her - most likely very wet and sticky - little piece of underwear didn't seem to bother her much, allthough he'd almost come to expect that much of her...

"I'm just wondering about earlier..." He made another attempt, after losing track of himself for a moment, and tried to lift his eyes from that deep and inviting cleavage between her full breasts.

"Oh, that?" She looked up into his face again, but seemed to misinterpret his intentions on purpose as she gave him a reassuring smile. "I think Ashley's just fine, and I'm sure my cousin will realize his mistakes eventually. Hopefully he'll be smart enough to keep away for now..."

"That's not quite what I meant..." Zack tried to tell her, but felt again like she was barely listening. Apparently she was really hooked by whatever she was reading, while not particularly interested in talking about what had actually happened between them.

"Mmm-hmm...?" She finally glanced back up at him however, just as he was starting to wonder if he should simply leave her alone for now, and she looked like she was almost surprised he hadn't done so already. There was a sudden smile growing on her lips though, and her voice was taking on a much more familiar warmth as well.

"I thought you didn't want things to get any more complicated...?" She asked him softly, with her smile growing wider as his sudden understanding must have showed on his face. She wasn't this cold to him because of what they'd done didn't really mean anything to her he realized, but because she cared for his own wishes to keep the whole thing forgotten.

Still, they had two witnesses already however - which made it literally half the group to know about it -, while Zack himself was starting to have just a couple of doubts himself. Heather was one damn fine young woman after all, and his relation to both Vicky and Chloe was getting slightly out of hand - with the former simply ignoring his feelings, and himself not quite daring to risk his long friendship with the latter to be ruined by turning it into something by far more serious.

"Or did you change your mind...?" The curvaceous brunette insisted - while he was caught up in his tangled mess of feelings -, and then gave him that same and lazy wink that she'd pulled on him the last time he visited her room. It was also rather difficult to ignore how she glanced down to his crotch, and noticing the firm bulge inside of his pants. "Or just felt like we left iff early...?"
