They went back to the hotel.

Ryan opened the door for his wife and she thanked him with a kiss on the cheek before getting into the Jeep.

"Did you have fun tonight, love?" Marlissa asked when he climbed in.

"Yes, of course!" he grinned. He leaned over and kissed her. "Thank you for persuading the two girls."

"I did not use my magic on them," she replied as he started the engine. "You are a handsome man with a big penis."

"Believe me that's no guarantee that I would get laid," he dismissed. He saw the confusion on her beautiful face as he waited to make a turn. "There are many things women want in a man -- looks, well endowed, money, a great sense of humor..."

"Do you not have those qualities?" she asked. "Are you wealthy?"

"Technically my family is. I just have a trust fund I occasionally dip into but I'm as rich as any field researcher -- which means not very."

He took his eyes off the road for a split second to look at her and saw that she was serious. "I guess. I'm not standup comedian 'ha-ha' funny. But I've made my ex-..."

Marlissa wondered why Ryan suddenly stopped speaking in mid sentence. "Are you okay, love?"

"Yes, thank you," he replied with a weak smile. "I was just reminded of my ex-fiancée."

"Oh."

"I guess I never told you that, huh?"

"There are many things I do not know about you," she whispered. "But I would like to."

Ryan realized that since he had summoned her they did not talk much but instead had a lot of sex. He thought as a succubus she did not need much more than that but she was still a woman, albeit a demonic woman, so she would still like to talk as women would do.

"I was engaged to a woman I met in my parents' department at Columbia University. She was an astrophysicist like them. Beautiful. Intelligent. She even laughed at my jokes." Ryan let out a chuckle. "My parents seemed to love her more than they loved me." He was joking but was half serious.

"She seemed perfect," the redhead noted. He glanced over at Marlissa and she did not seem to be jealous of him talking about his past lover but instead she had a look of concern.

"Not as perfect as you," he whispered.

"Thank you, love," she smiled, kissing him on the cheek for the compliment.

"But our careers pushed us apart. I'm a professor at the university but I spend more time travelling around the world," he said as they pulled into the hotel parking lot.

Marlissa kissed him again when he opened the door for her. "Thank you, love, for opening your heart to me. You have shown me you are a good master, lover, and husband."

Ryan stood there for a moment and forgot about his ex-fiancée. She was in his past and now Marlissa was his present and future. He offered his arm to his wife and they walked into the lobby, ignoring the front desk clerks' stares. They kissed and groped each other in the elevator and down the hall to their suite.
