The tale begins!

The game was going better beyond anyone’s hope that it would be, well except for Zack at that moment. What did Lisa intend by asking Chloe to recount her first time? Right after a good moment between the two of them for the first time in a long time, this felt just like all the other times like a figurative slap in the face. Zack braved himself for the words that would inevitably come out of Chloe’s mouth, he knew he wouldn’t like them, he just hoped they wouldn’t change the way Zack had seen Chloe his whole life. “Well, as I said earlier, the day before I lost my virginity, I had seen a sight that I now wish I had never seen.” Chloe began with the quickest of glances at both Zack and Lisa. Lisa had that smug look she got when she knew someone was talking about her. This couldn’t have been the time Chloe caught Lisa and I fucking in my backyard, could it? Zack thought.

“Were these people someone that we all know?” Vicky asked, always the sleuth amongst them.

“Yes, but I won’t say who, to respect their privacy.” Chloe said.

“Fair enough. Quite similar to respecting the anonymity of your sources in journalism.” Vicky nodded approvingly at Chloe.

“Uhh, sure. Yeah, so I witnessed that and was pretty messed up about how to feel about it.” Chloe said.

“Must be someone close to you to make you act like that.” Heather mused.

“Hey, this is story time, not figure out what the mystery is!” Chloe said sternly, she couldn’t have people knowing how deep her affections for Zack truly ran.

“Right, right, carry on then.” Heather waved Chloe on.

“The rest of that day and into the night I couldn’t get that image out of my mind, and I had an important soccer game the next day, so I needed to find a way to clear my mind.” Chloe said.

“Oh, I think I remember that game, I don’t think what you tried worked, you seemed a bit out of it during the game.” Maddie chipped in.

“Yeah, it was painful to watch at times, it was as if you were running on empty out there.” Ashley said.

“Yeah, there was a reason for that, the treatment I sought out, left me a little tired- and sore.” Chloe said with a dirty smile. It took people a moment to catch on, and when they did, the oohs and aahs washed across the room. Zack was stunned and Lisa didn’t quite know what to think even after being told the basics by Chloe, it seemed Chloe had left a lot out. Zack wasn’t sure if he wanted to hear what came next, and as the noise simmered down a layer of uncomfortableness settled down over the group of friends, as they wondered the same thing as Zack. Hannah as always being in tune with what a crowd wanted jumped up to spare everyone the awkward silence.

“Why don’t we take a drink break?” She asked everyone.
