The rest of the valkyrie came together

The next morning everybody came together in the valkyrie's training hall as usual. Jess was the first to arrive. Well, technically she did not arrive as she was the proprietor of the place and had her bunk down the hall from the main training area, which was a round arena with an open top and lots of vegetation, rocks and other natural and custom made obstacles in the middle. It was located in a neighbourhood at the edge of the city. Not long after Jess did her morning workout, the twins arrived, followed by Lind and shortly after that Kris. Jenna took a bit longer because she overslept after being up at night studying this whatever the Followers wanted to try and raise, so when they would succeed, they'd have some way to be ready for it. But what she found was so intriguing, time flew by and before she knew it it was the middle of the night.

"Where are Faye and Siris?" Jenna asked to Jess after explaining her late arrival and sat down on a fallen tree stump in the arena, while the rest were talking among themselves. "Dunno." was the response, "Siris probably drank way to much, as usual, and will have found herself another remarkable place to pass out and sleep off her drunken stupor. Faye on the other hand, I don't know about her. She is never late.". Jenna replied "On the contrary, she is always the first, "because a leader has to be there to greet her fellow warriors when they arrive". Some kind of thing to keep the spirit up.". "Yeah. And she is always early. What with her eerie bad feelings she went on about, her absence makes me a bit nervous." Jess whispered. Jenna nodded. Ravana then yelled at them "So, where are our fearsome leader and our local drunk this morning?". Jess pulled up her shoulders, but even Ravana, who normally never seem to care about much, seem to notice the slight tension between Jess and Jenna about the subject.

"Strange." Ravana snorted, seemingly annoyed but secretly also a bit concerned about Faye's absence. Then Jess turned to the group and said "Girls, I am going to check on Faye. I feel a bit…., ah, it's probably nothing, but…" when Ravana interrupted with "I'm going too.". Jess looked up surprised, but nodded when she saw Ravana's annoyed face. Jenna then said she'd come with them too and the rest agreed to check for Siris in the usual places. They made a promise to meet up at the arena in two hours, after which they split up and went to look for their fellow warrior friends.

When the treesome arrived at Faye's home, they found the door was locked. "She's gone already? Did we miss her on the way here?" Jess asked. But Ravana shook her head and replied with "Can't be. She always take that path down to the arena. And if one woman is set in her ways, it's that blond OCD driven ms Facilitator.". Jess looked at her, sighing, to which Ravana said "What?!? That's what she is, right?" but then kept her mouth shut. Jenna in the meanwhile stood there thinking, rummaged with the door lock a bit an checked inside through the window and said "Rav's words are a bit harsh, but she is correct and that concerns me even more.". She thought a few seconds longer in silence, then asked Jess "Could you break in the door, please?". Jess looked at her for a bit in doubt, but then nodded and tried to bash in the door with her shoulder, but when the door was sturdier than she thought, she heard Ravana fake cough. Jess said with slight irritation "Sssssst, don't you dare say a thing." before grabbing her axe and with one swing chopped the door open. Then she looked smug at Ravana, who walked past her and said "Such brute, unintelligent ****.", making Jess roll her eyes and whisper to herself "Ungrateful little cunt.". Jenna followed Ravana inside after which Jess did too and closed the door, which then slowly creaked a bit open again.

Inside, the treesome looked around to clues about Faye's whereabouts, but couldn't find anything out of the ordinary, until Jenna walked to the bed and kneeled down next to it. She noticed this small glistering powder/sand hill on the bed in front of Faye's untouched weapons. The top of it floated silently in the slight draft between windows and was blown outside. Jenna stretched her hand towards the beautiful and intriguing dust, mesmerized by how the light of the morning sun reflected in the dust, letting the rays play on the ceiling. But just before her fingertips touched the dust, a rush of pictures and sounds ran before her eyes. After the shock of the sudden rush of pictures, Jenna's brain tried to figure out what just happened and what was in the flashes.

There was a darkness, an unnatural blackness. Red eyes. Faye on hands and knees, naked, screaming. No…., moaning. "Mai...goth?" Jenna repeating what she thought she heard. Jesse turned to her and asked "Uhhm, Mai who?". Then Jenna stood up and shook her head. Jess continue, asking "Found something?" to which Jenna shook her head while looking down at the dust and started to get an eerie feeling. Jess walked over to her, followed her gaze and saw the dust, saying as she stretched her hand towards it "Ohhh, what a pretty dust!". Jenna quickly said in a rough and decided tone "Don't touch it'" and Jess quickly pulled her hands back, looking a bit shocked towards Jenna. "Why?" she asked. Jenna replied while unmoving "I have got a bad feeling about this. Let's get back to the arena and meet up with the rest as soon as possible.".

Jess and Ravana noticed the seriousness and urgency in Jenna's voice, knowing Jenna was no joker or anyone who would get riled up easily, and obeyed directly, leaving the house. Jenna stood there for a few seconds longer, whispering "That's not you, right, Faye? Please let me know that is not you." but nothing came to her but this lingering awefull feeling something went terribly wrong here and that things are far from over. Jenna then looked around and quickly wanted to leave this dreadful feeling place. When she stepped outside, she saw the dust flowing outside the window, glistering in the sun as it was blown gently up into the blue sky.

Jenna quickened her pace and followed her fellow valkyrie towards the arena, not able to shake the dreadful feeling, but hoping on better news from the others, both on Siris and on Faye.
