As you are enjoying your time with Fia, you spot Clara coming back, and you feel like your newfound coziness with Clara's girlfriend will be hard to explain. "Clara, I-"

You're beaten to the punch by Fia, who gets up and makes an announcement. "Clara, Daphne's back. She asked Max for some sentimental gift he gave her. Can you believe her?"

Clara can't help but scowl at that. "Ugh. I never liked her, even when the two of you were dating. But I just thought she was kind of smug, I didn't know she was a straight up witch. Look, Max. I don't say this often, but you deserve better then her." After spotting you and Fia so close together, she quickly adds on. "There's someone, somewhere out there for you. So don't give the necklace back. If she asks us about it, we'll lie, I don't give a shit." With that, she goes into her room, leaving Fia alone with you again.

"Hey, look at you! You're bringing me and Clara closer! Always the team player."

Fia blushes. "I just want peace in this house. And nothing more, okay? What happened before didn't mean anything." You don't point out that that's exactly what you said, and just watch her retreat into her and Clara's bedroom.
