The next day, Haruhi and Kyon get a lot of attention and mental changes.

It was clear on my morning walk (Though is it really a 'walk' if you don't have any legs?) to school that everyone had heard about the little outbreak. I was getting stares, still wearing my guy's uniform over my slimy body because I didn't own a girl's uniform, but they weren't necessarily surprised stares, they were more the 'oh, poor Kyon' kind of stares. Then, before I knew it, Taniguchi was walking next to me, like usual. What wasn't usual was that his eyes were looking everywhere except at me. Come on, man, I'm still me! Just because I caught a freaking virus doesn't mean I'm suddenly someone else entirely!

At my words, Taniguchi turned to look at me, actually blushing a little. "Sorry man, it's just...you're pretty cute. At least a B on my grading scale, y'know?"

For some reason at the time I couldn't comprehend, my first reaction was to fake a frown at him and ask, "What do you mean a B? I thought I was cuter than that?" Once the words left my...well, I guess my face, since I didn't actually have a mouth or vocal chords, it hit me how weird what I'd said was. I was trying to ignore my transformed body, but I'd just called attention to it, acted like a girl. And while I was thinking about that, I suddenly found myself thinking that Taniguchi was actually kind of cute, that he might be a good boyfriend. I tried to play off like my comment was a joke and we awkwardly switched subjects to our usual banter, but after my homeroom teacher, Okabe, gave me a girl's school and PE uniform, to change into later, I sat down at my desk, in front of Haruhi. Well, sat isn't really the best word, but my body was in the seat and sloshing down to the ground under it. My fearless brigade leader looked miffed, so I asked her what was up.

She turned her demonic eyes to me and said, "At first I'd thought how cool this Monster Girl Virus was, but I forgot about the side effects. My libido's been stupid active, and I keep wanting to take guys to the bathroom to bang them." I'd never heard about this side effect, not having studied up on the virus much, but Haruhi's words made me consider how nice it would be to get fucked, my body absorbing their semen for food. I realized I needed to give her, and myself, advice.
