The new Dawn

Leon arrived at her apartment building and ran up the stairs. He was so looking forward to seeing Dawn as he needed something normal in his life and she always knew how to keep him grounded. Everything that had happened was messing with his head and he needed his friend right now.

He got to her door and knocked, waiting for a moment before it opened. "Hey D, I...... Uh," he said as she seemed different.

"Come on in, Leon," she said, inviting him in, but something was different about her.

"D, where are your glasses?" He asked.

"Oh, trying contacts, making my eyes look green too. You like them?"

"I..... sure, it's just," he said looking her up and down.

She was wearing a tank top that showed a lot of cleavage that he never remembered her having. Also, she was wearing jeans that showed off her very curvy ass, and he was starting to get concerned.

"Are you feeling alright?" He asked.

"I feel amazing. Why do you ask?"

"It's just..... you look....... different."

"Is that bad?" She said with a smile.

"I," he started to say as he started to feel overwhelmed. "What the fuck is going on?" He said as he placed his hand over his eyes and rubbed them.

"Leon?" She said, showing concern.

"I...... I gotta go," he said heading for the door.

"Leon, just talk to me," she said stepping in front of him. "Just take a deep breath, okay."

"No, it's not okay. Everything is changing and I can't explain it."

"We're starting college in a few months. I needed a new look, that's all," she lied, trying to calm him down.

"No, I was in a major car accident 3 days ago, I had a broken leg, broken arm, a concussion. I was talking to Wanda about paying for surgery, and then today I woke up in the hospital, and I'm perfectly fine," he said, pacing back and forth.

"Okay?" She said trying to understand, even though she had a good idea as to what happened.

"Wanda has been acting different, and then I had this dream, or thought it was a dream, that I had sex with a nurse at the hospital, but now she's asleep in my bed at home after we fucked again!"

"Oh wow, didn't know you were the type," she said with a chuckle.

"I'm not, and that's what's crazy. I feel like everyone around me is changing and I don't know how or why. I feel like I'm losing my mind. And now even you look different. You look incredible..... but different. Did I fall into another dimension or something?"

"Okay, calm down," she said walking over and grabbing him gently. "Take a deep breath. It's fine, okay? Everything is going to be fine. I'm here, and I'm still the same person I've always been, even if I look different," she said before she pulled him in for a huh. "Just relax; I got you," she said as he held her tightly like she'd disappear if he let her go. "That's it."

"You smell nice," he said as he breathed in her scent.

"Thanks," she said with a smile, knowing he was smelling her new pheromones.

Despite the changes made to her by Aezeth, she was still the same person, and she wanted to comfort her friend and make him feel better. She knew what was going on and felt bad that he was freaking out, but she was going to be here to comfort him in any way he needed her to.

"Let's go to my room, okay?" She whispered in his ear before taking his hand and leading him down the hall and into her room.

"I'm sorry, I must sound like a crazy baby right now. I just don't want to lose you..... you're to only thing keeping me grounded right now."

"Hey, you will never lose me, okay?" She said grabbing his face and looking into his eyes. "I'm not going anywhere. Whether you like it or not."

"Thank you," he said as he stood there looking into her eyes.

The green seemed odd, even though she said it was contact lenses. He felt that something was off with her too, but he didn't want to believe it. He needed her to be there for him. He needed her to be who she always had been, but he was also feeling something else as he stared longer.

She leaned in and kissed him on the lips. Leon was shocked, but he did not pill away. In fact, he put his arms around her and held her close as he kissed her back, playing with her tongue with his own before they both fell on the bed together.

"What are we doing?" He said between kisses.

"What I've wanted to do since freshman year," she said before her lips were pressed to his again.
