The mysterious hero

You take your chances and turn to run. Too late, as one of the guys is fast enough to grab a handful of hoodie and hair. You help in surprise and pain, nearly losing your footing, as they clearly wanted something that you weren't ready to give them, but now your options dwindled. And for the first time, some real fear started to creep in to your mind.

"Hey, that's enough!"

You didn't say that, nor did one of the guys say it to the other. This was a new voice. Right before you were tugged back to the duo in question, you heard a thud, and a growl, before you felt the grip release on your hoodie. You stumbled forward, catching yourself on the bus stop sign before turning around.

"Mind your own business, jerk!" You turned to see a guy in a tight t-shirt designed to show off a clearly built physique as he deftly sidestepped a punch thrown by one of the creepy men who were clearly bothered by the interruption. At least their attention was focused elsewhere... you could run, but you sort of forgot how for a moment. You watched in awe as this guy with perfectly styled blond hair took charge of the situation. He looked like something out of a comic book, the way he stood opposite the other two.

"C'mon, fellas, leave the lady alone and everyone walks away." The guy even had a slightly lopsided grin on his face as he said it, like he was having a little fun at this opportunity to knock some heads around. Clearly the two guys didn't pay heed, deciding that two on one against even the stunningly handsome guy with flowing blond hair and a charming smile was still a safe bet.

You paused, squirming a little at your last thought. Were you attracted to this guy? That presented a multitude of other problems! Problems that you'd forgotten about immediately as the action picked up again. Both guys tried to lunge at the mysterious and handsome stranger, only for him to sidestep them once again, grabbing one's arm and pulling it behind their back, only to push that guy into the other guy, bowling him over so both tumbled to the ground.

Finally, they go the message, and the guys scrambled up and glared at the guy, then glared at you, before bolting. "See you later, sweetheart."

You shivered, that was unpleasant. But then you looked back at the blond guy as he dusted himself off, and shivered again. A... different shiver. No, stop it! Even if he is conventionally handsome and you would no doubt acknowledge that regardless of what body you were in, you weren't attracted to him! You liked Archer, like this! Why did this have to be so hard?!

The guy stepped forward a bit, looking at you, but he kept a respectful distance. "Are you okay? Sorry, I didn't want to assume you couldn't handle yourself, but it looked pretty serious."

You nodded, and then glanced away. "Y-yeah, I appreciate it. You really knew how to handle yourself there."

The guy grinned, crossing his arms as he glanced down the street after those other guys. "Yeah, well, you could say I'm like a martial arts master. Self-proclaimed. ...I mean, I dabble. Sorry, I didn't intend to brag about it. Anyway, stay safe, have a good day, ma'am."

You sighed in relief. This guy was a real charmer. He probably watched too many superhero movies while working out at the gym. But... something about him just really appealed to you. You shook your head out, and looked away, wondering when the bus would arrive.

And then you looked back. He was still right there, standing still, not bothering you but still having the sheer audacity to stand around so you could peek at his chiseled form. Was he waiting for the same bus? Well, it could be worse. When the bus arrived, you scurried onto it, and took a seat pretty far back, shrinking as much as you could in the seat. But, you felt at least a little better that for at least some of the trip, you might have a helping hand if things took another turn.
