The lazy house!

Jessica walked up to the front door of the house, filled with a combination of nerves and excitement. She was excited to finally be on her own investigation, but she also knew that anything could be behind those walls. There were a few wooden signs nailed into the ground on the front lawn, each one saying a form of 'keep out'. Just as Jessica was about to step on the front porch, her heel got caught on a piece of paper. She bent down to pick up the paper. "Feeling tired of everything and wish to never have any worries again? Come on down to the lazy house!" Jessica read out loud from the paper.

Jessica walked up to the front door, inspecting it. Suddenly, Jessica jumped as a metal rod with a circular ball attached to the end shot out from where the doorbell was supposed to be, positioning itself directly infront of Jessica's head. "State your business." A robotic female voice spoke from the circular ball. "Ummm errr I'm here to talk about the lazy house?" Jessica responded, completely improvising and still shocked that the house was talking to her.

There was a long and awkward pause. "You wish to enter and become a permanent member of the lazy house?" The robotic voice asked Jessica. "Well I'm not sure if-"

"--I'm not sure answer not recognised-- assuming answer was yes." The voice interrupted with a more robotic sound than usual. "Hold on a minute I--" Jessica was suddenly shoved forward by something behind her. The door swung open just as this happened, sucking Jessica inside darkness within the large house. As soon as she fell in, the door swung itself closed again.

Two 18 year old girls, one brunette and one blonde, happened to be walking past the house as it happened. They both saw Jessica get shoved inside the house. "Did she just go inside the lazy house? Nobody has been in there in a decade, and there's a reason it's off limits!" The brunette said to the blonde. "I recognised her, she's that dumb reporter lady who made that article about fat people and how much she hates them, I'm glad it took that bitch!" The blonde replied.

They walked over to the side of the house, hoping to find a window and see what's gonna happen to Jessica. "I heard stories about the lazy house, how it was used as capital punishment for criminals in Pinesdale, which was how the town used to get it's clean slate record of no crime. But I'm sure they terminated it like 10 years ago." The brunette explained. "Huh, well if it's still active then that bitch of a reporter is in for one helluva ride!"

Both of the girls laughed as they tried to look through the window of the abandoned house.
