What's next?

The hope in your heart

Sally tried extra hard during the dinner preparations, as a part of her apology. She made sure that she got all the ingredients for his favourite meal - a chicken salad, and then personally prepared all of them, with no help from Illy. The Lamia even went so far as to make several of those at the same time and then use the one that tastes - for Illy and her - the best. Her efforts however didn't pay off. Andreas didn't show up at dinner and didn't respond to Illy calling him through the doors.

The Lamia saw him later, when he was going to the bathroom, and tried saying hello to him, but the man simply ignored her, and just limped his way past her.

Neither Sally or Illy saw him anymore that day.

The next few days went on similar. Andreas didn't speak to any of the girls, and ordered food online.

Both elf and the Lamia grew anxious of his behaviour. Sally, of course, explained to her childhood friend why the human is so mad at her. Why she needs to fix it somehow, but if he wasn't going to give her any chance at making it right, she was stuck. She knew she could use a bit of luck. She could use fate smiling in her way for once, she'd even take a miracle. She got...

"A courier?"

"Yes, he was here half hour ago." Illy answered. "Uhh, mistress, you need to pull yourself together, you've been constantly out of it in the last week."

"I told you to not call me mistress." The Lamia answered. "Show the letter to me."

Illy passed an envelope to Sally.

"It has AWIO stamp, but it's addressed to... To him. We shouldn't open it."

"Then what do we do? It's not like he is going to come down and ask if there was any mail for him. And I don't want to look at him anyway. Have you seen him yesterday? He looked like a hobo!"

Illy stated.

Sally sighed in response. It was a fact that Andreas let himself go a little, not caring how he looked. She knew it was her own fault. She just didn't know how to make it right.

"I... I'll go to him with it."

"Okay... I need to go to the bathroom anyway. I have the... Thing again."

The thing was a side effect from Lamias experiments in the kitchen. Sally didn't have anyone to check out her cooking except for Illy, which finally led to some of the meals disagreeing with the short elfs stomach.

Sally began journey up the stairs while squeezing the letter. Two or so minutes later she was in front of his doors, ready to knock. But before she could, the doors opened, and she stayed there like that with her hand hanging up high.

"What?" He asked with dismissive voice.

"Hey, the courier came with a letter. I think it's important."

She handed it to him.

Andreas just tore open the envelope and began to read. It was a two pages long document, but Sally didn't dare to sneak a peak at something addressed to him.

"It's an instruction and notice letter. Apparently I have to pick up your passport in the town hall. With you."

He summarised.

"So..." She began, but he didn't let her finish.

"I guess we're going today. Be ready in ten minutes." Andreas turned back, and looked at the mirror in his room. "Actually, be ready in half hour."
