The girls are abandoned!

The tranquility of the forest was broken by loud, groaning noises.

"Wait, isn't that-?" Belinda asked, the rest of her sentence drowned out by the loud splashing of Ruby twisting around in the water to see the blue box dematerialising.

"Hey! Doctor, wait!"

The blonde girl kicked for the bank, staggering out of the water and coming to a halt on the spot where only moments ago, the time machine had been.

"Doctor! Come back!"

Belinda exited the water and comforted her crying friend, trying to remain calm despite what she was feeling inside. Why would he just abandon them here?

"It's no good shouting," Belinda explained. "Come on let's get dressed, and see if we can find someone to help us-"

The brunette's voice died when she saw that their clothes, which had been thrown haphazardly into a pile, were nowhere to be seen. Not even their shoes had been left behind!

"What the...oh, he is so dead!" Ruby fumed, stamping a bare foot in frustration as her face glowed.

In spite of her best efforts, Belinda whimpered as she hugged herself and looked down at her bare feet.

"S-s-still want t-t-to find someone?" Ruby asked her, shivering and water glistened on her pale skin.

"Well...no," the older girl admitted. "But it's either find help, or die of exposure!"

"Better to die of exposure, than to die of embarrassment," Ruby mumbled.

Accepting their fate, the two companions began walking through the forest; soaking wet, shivering, and without a stitch on their bodies.
