The dagger

With the doused dagger at hand, I lead the girls out of their window into a bush. We sneak across the open yard towards the hedge on the other side.

Suddenly we hear hissing sounds. With my senses, I can feel a vampire at our right. A pale woman with punctures and blood lines on her neck charges towards us.

The girls hide behind me and the Vampiress leaps towards us. The dagger digs deep into the newly-turned. The lotv takes effect and dissolves the injured vampire into a puff of ash. She looks at me scared then she is gone.

After that, I scout the area with my senses. All clear. I beckon the girls to follow me into the hedge.
