The childhood friend

Before Alex can get too far from his house, he hears an all too familiar voice calling out his name.

"Alexxxx!"

Imagine this but chubbier

He turns around and is met with a slightly chubby black-haired tomboy-ish Asian girl. She's been his next-door neighbor and childhood friend for as long as they can remember. They were practically inseparable when they were young to the point where their parents already started creating wedding plans and asking when they would get married. Sadly, their plans will never come to fruition because the two of them started drifting apart ever since high school ended... that and the fact that Amelia is a lesbian.

"Amelia. What are you doing up so early?" Usually, she'll find any excuse to sleep in until she's almost late for school. This is not because she's lazy but because she keeps staying up all night playing games.

"Can't I wake up early to go to school with my friend?" She asks with mock hurt.

"You're not that type of person." Alex deadpan before continuing his walk to school.

"Fine. I didn't wake up early for that." Amelia pouts and quickly follows after him so she won't fall behind. On the way, he notices her looking up at something above Alex's head.

Alex touches his hair, "What are you looking at? Do I still have bed hair or something?"

"Oh right!" Amelia exclaim, suddenly excited about something. "I bet you'll never guess what happened this morning!" She said, practically ignoring his question.

He decides to ignore it too and humor his friend after not finding anything wrong with his hair.

"Did a new game you like come out today?" He guesses.

"Nope." Amelia answered, popping the P with a grin.

"That new action figure you ordered finally arrived." He tries again.

"Nope."

"Did you wake up with superpowers for your birthday or something?" He jokes after running out of ideas.

"Gasp! How did you know?! Did you read my mind? Do you have superpowers too?" Amelia asks in surprise at him actually getting it right.

"Wait, what?" Alex stops in place, confused at her questions.

"Oh, it was a joke." Amelia realizes, "Damn, I gave it away. And here I wanted to surprise you later today."

"Amelia? What's going on?" He asks with worry.

Amelia noticed that he stop walking and turned toward him with barely contained excitement. "I. Have. POWER!" She says, practically screaming at the end.

"Amelia..."

"You don't believe me, do you? Figures. I wouldn't believe myself either but I have proof!" She exclaims. "Watch this, *ahem* Invite Alex Burns."

After waiting for a few seconds and seeing nothing happen, Alex raises his eyebrow at the girl.

Amelia fake coughed to hide her embarrassment and explain, "Right, sorry about that. I forgot to create a party first." She said before waving her hand around in front of her which just leave Alex more confused.

"That should do it, Invite Alex Burns." Amelia tries again.

This time, a blue screen popped up in front of Alex, asking if he would like to join Amelia's party. Alex blinks and rubs his eyes to make sure he's not seeing things.

"Just click yes. You're not seeing things." Amelia 'helpfully' adds from the side.

He clicks yes, causing the screen to disappear and more to pop up but this time in front of Amelia instead of him. Though, from Amelia's reaction, or nonreaction, it's more correct to say that he can now see what Amelia was seeing before. In front of her is what looks like a party screen from one of her many games and next to it is a status screen with her name on the top.

"See! I can even do this." Amelia says before another screen, one that looks like an inventory popped up in front of her and she pulls a... hot dog? out of it.
