The Walk Back to the Cabin
"How do you know he won't come back?" Mike asked. It had been an almost longer walk back to the cabin it had been since they left. "I mean, all of your enemies tend to come back."
"Because in the real world, people die," Logan told him.
"Why was he after you?"
"Same reason he's always been after me," said Logan. "He wants me to hurt."
"So he's like a Spider-Man villain?"
"He went after Spider-Man once," said Logan.
"What happened?"
"Spidey tricked him into clawing his own face off," said Logan, chuckling at the memory.
The lights were on at the cabin when they returned. Mike didn't seem to remember them being on when he had left with Logan. Even though Sabretooth and Logan had obviously been at the cabin then, it almost felt like it was otherwise empty. Now, though, it felt complete. Warm, in a way. Almost like there was something radiating out of there that could make anybody feel like home. That was when Mike noticed that the door that Sabretooth had thrown Logan out of was reattached, as if it had never been torn off.
"How did the house get fixed?" asked Mike.
"We can talk about that over dinner," said Logan. "As well as why you came. Now come on."
