The Waitress

You get up and go ask the waitress for another drink. The waitress seems happy to help you. You go back to your stool slowly and look at your phone whilst waiting for her.

You open Snapchat and realize that you ex has removed you from her contacts. This hurts. You feel like she is trying to erase you from her life, as if all the times you spent together meant nothing. As if all your love was fake. As if you were the "most dangerous" person in her contacts. You feel a wave of pain.

The waitress arrives with your new drink. "Is something wrong?" she asks. You can't deceive her this time. This time you tell her the truth about how your girlfriend had left you to be with her friends and that the realization of so had broken your heart as you knew that she did not share the love you felt for her. You also told her that it was your first love and that you felt like you were betrayed and want to get back at her for making you feel this way, but you did not know how.

"You know what" the waitress says, "you seem like a nice guy. How about you stay at my place tonight. I have a small house on the other side of the block. Maybe it'll change your mind a little."

"I'm not sure" you say. Clearly interested to get the opportunity to stay with such a gorgeous girl.

"Come-on! I won't bite... hard!" she says as a joke. You both laugh and you end up agreeing to staying with her for tonight. Who knows, maybe you could even get some action. Getting a rebound was part of your plans afterall.
