Chapter 5 by Funnyboy Funnyboy

Do you go to her house?

Yes

You learned a lot about the waitress that night. The first thing you learned was her name. Valerie. At least she did not have the same name as your ex you thought. How embarrassing would that have been.

You also learn, to your great pleasure, that she is single. She recently moved into town for her studies. She had been accepted at the nearby university, but not yet started her studies. She explained how she had been extremely lucky to find an affordable small house in this neighborhood as every house in Pleasant Lane was extremely expensive. However she got hers for quite the bargain!

You were very excited at the prospect of sleeping at her house tonight. It was now 2a.m and she was closing off her shift. She gets out of the bar and asks you to follow her. You both get into your cars and move on to her house.

When you get into your car, your radio seems to be playing funny. There must be a glitch. The channel plays normally, but it seems to be blended with another. It is as if you can hear 2 stations at the same time. However you cannot quite make out the words from the 2nd channel. You tell yourself that it isn't that much of an issue and that you don't have too much of a long ride anyway.

When you arrive at Valerie's house you are astonished. It still had the same 1950s vibe, but it was by no means what you would consider small. It was a full-fledged house. She gets out of the car and calls you out.

"Hey! you can park just behind me." she yells.

You are taken a little aback as it is 2:30a.m. Why is she yelling?

When you finally enter the house, you notice that it is very well furnished. The decoration is on point. You don't usually notice these details, but it must be the fatigue and the break-up you say to yourself.

She shows you to the guest room.

"So this is where you're going to crash. It's not much, but it'll do for tonight." she says with a smile showing off her pearly white teeth. "I'd love to talk, but I'm exhausted so we'll have plenty of time to catch-up tomorrow. Good night!"

She leaves the room and you hear her getting ready to go to sleep. You do the same. You were also exhausted by everything that was currently happening in your life. You knew you would sleep like a baby. You get ready, and put your head on the pillow. You are a little disappointed that you didn't get any action, but it didn't matter. You'd get your chance tomorrow. You fall asleep.

What's next?
