The Prude Rude Switch

What looks like a simple pager is actually a device called the Prude Rude Switch. The explanation is rather simple. Point and click.

The device comes with three settings. Prude, Rude, and revert.

If set on Prude, a person will become overly polite. Just the mention of something uncouth such as colourful language, sex, or even at times modern slang would be considered scandalous and undeserving of attention. A first press will turn them to prudes. A second press up their prudishness to where they'll try to not acknowledge anything sexual happening to or around them. Expect a tongue lashing as you're groping a woman and she refuses to get help because that would mean she's acknowledging sex to others.

If set on Rude, a person will become well, rude. Their common sense will reverse whatever they believe to be polite and rude. Language, sex, even a simple hello or donating for charity will have their views warped. A second press will cause them to just become the worst version of themselves. Swearing, sex, even **** and robbery.

The revert button changes them back to normal. One press to change them back to normal with awareness of what happened, a second press will keep them unaware of what happened.

If something goes wrong, there's a hole just big enough for a toothpick to fit in. This is the reset button that will fix the device, but change reality so that any people changed would have always been that way and be remembered as such. The user is not immune to these changes and will similarly have their memories changed.

Rumor has it that it's even possible to press the buttons in different combinations to get unique results.
