The Princess (What are you, a masochist?)

You walk over to the princess, who looks over to you and then looks away. You hear from Mierla's and Anzolo's table, "what's wrong, fiend? Afraid to talk to someone who's merely visiting your lands?"

"I simply don't wish to waste my time with this foreigner, as they don't pose a threat to the queen. Keep talking and I'll move up the timeline to turn you into a thrall, though."

"Ah, so you're being lazy, then. I do wonder what the one in charge of you would say to that."

A long sigh emits from the princess's mouth, and she turns to you. "Well then, foreigner, did you come over here to pay tribute to me? If you instead wish to pay tribute to the queen, you'll need to contact my attendant to have them contact one of her thralls."

"Aren't you one of her thralls?"

"Of all the petulant and disparaging questions you should ask, you ask whether or not I'm one of the lowly thralls? You're lucky that you're across from me rather than next to me, lest I should turn you into one of my thralls, for I am a true vampire, and shall inherit the throne should anyone finally slay the queen!"

"So you're one of the vampires who was born as such?"

"Nay, for I am not one of the peon shadowborn that I should live a mere millenium. I am filled with the full power of the Shadowfell, not just a mere portion of it!"

The princess goes back to gently sipping her glass of red wine, causing you to be stunned a bit at this. However, you also didn't get much of what you wanted, so you inquire as to why she's even following the queen. After all, surely the people would be better off under her control?

In response, she laughs. After a time passes and she calms down, "you really think I care about the people here? We're running an empire, not a charity. And why would I take out the queen when she provides some security to me? I would need a loyal vampire with the full power of the Shadowfell backing me if I wished to try that, as taking the queen out would leave me **** to those who would seek my ****." She looks at you once more, "you know perhaps I should turn you into one of my thralls after all, and make you a court jester."

Oh. You suppose that's your cue to leave then.
