The Photos Spread Across The Internet

In Washington, D.C., Henry Gyrich paused his nocturnal activities. Sweat beaded his upper lip as he stared at the photos that appeared on screen. With one hand, he clicked to save the photos of the naked blonde to his hard drive.

In his lair, Mysterio tapped away at the keyboard. The screen was reflected in the fishbowl-like sphere that concealed his features. At his behest, dozens of agents throughout the world were seeding the photos of Sue Storm into internet forums, social media, pornography sites. A dozen small websites inexplicably popped into existence, centered around the sexualization of the Invisible Woman. No one site had everything—and as eager perverts discovered this bread-crumb trail of erotic photography, they began to share links with each other. Hidden watermarks within each upload allowed their spread to be monitored and analyzed...and would let Mysterio know when someone began to try and trace the photos back to their source.

"I do not understand how this is going to destroy Sue Storm," Doom rumbled. It was Doom's resources that had found the photos for Mysterio, Doom's network of agents that even now carried out the lesser villain's plans.

"It's a matter of psychology, and showmanship," Mysterio said, as he turned from his computer. "Sue Storm has already lied about the photos once. Soon, they'll be everywhere. She won't be able to avoid hearing about them."

"Many celebrities have faced the disclosure of inappropriate photos," Doom said levelly. "And have weathered that storm."

"This is just the beginning!" Mysterio said. "The start! To whet the audience's appetite. Next, we'll release the sex tape."

Within his armor, Doom raised an eyebrow.

"I was unaware of the existence of such a recording," the tyrant of Latveria said.

"So is she," Mysterio leaped to his feet with a theatrical sweep of his cloak. "She is utterly unprepared for it. And there will be more, much more! The more she denies it, the more the lies will strangle her! Until at last the world will know her as the Invisible Whore!"

Doom's eyes narrowed behind his mask. The methods that Mysterio employed were gauche in the ****—but what troubled him was his own part in this. The technologies that Mysterio had been given access to in order to achieve this plan could be dangerous if abused. Most dangerous.

"Very well. You may continue. Yet I warn you, Mysterio, I expect results," Doom said.

"You will get them," the other villain promised. "As soon as you give me access to the device, as you promised!"
