“Sure, might as well find out what sleeping with the fishes is like,” Stocking replied. “Let me just… try and adjust our course!”

A minute later and the two found themselves in a small pool surrounded by other parkgoers. There were also a few park employees as well, but they weren’t dressed in the usual lifeguard-inspired attire that most of the others in this part of the park wore. “Huh… so the perfect competition for anyone who wants to be an ‘alpha male’,” mused Stocking. “I’m honestly surprised that there isn’t more stuff like this.”

“Well, probably because we try not to encourage too much competition; it has occasionally led to fights,” the mermaid admitted. “We know that this is all in good fun here though, and you’re both welcome to compete yourselves if you wish!”
