The Meeting Within The Meeting
“If this is your way of subtly hinting that I should tell every girl within my vicinity about the app…” You immediately address Becca, trying to keep your voice down as much as possible so the girls outside won’t hear. However, you forgot to not let the agitation of ‘Becca not consulting you first’ color the tone of your words.
“Woah~, jumping right to it already? How about some foreplay first, huh?” Viv interjects, clearly hearing the agitation in your voice and trying to lighten the mood.
“As I have already directly suggested what I think on the matter, subtlety at this juncture would be counter-productive, no?” Becca answers with a stone-faced expression.
“Woah-woah-woah. Hol’ up a minute.” Tanya interjects. “When did we start talking about telling more girls about papi’s app?” Tanya asks, joining you with talking in a hushed tone.
“We didn’t.” You answer her, while gesturing towards the rest of your girlfriends other than Becca.
“Okay. Why are we talking about it now?” Tanya asks.
“Because Paige is starting to piece it together.” Becca responds.
“Piece ‘what’ together?” Stella asks.
“That our relationship with Jay might be supernaturally influenced.” Becca answers.
“How’d Paige do that!?” Stella asks in shock, before getting shushed by the rest of the group and reminded to not increase her volume. “How’d Paige do that?” Stella repeats in a more hushed tone, getting you and Becca to turn towards Viv.
“Oops?” Viv reacts guiltily, biting her fingernail.
“Vivian propositioned her and Tricia yesterday.” Becca explains.
“She did what!?” Maddy asks loudly, getting shushed just like Stella was.
“It was harmless~,” Viv tries to wave off Maddy’s justified worry. “It was just a bit of the ole’ ‘be a dog, and help a dame out’ kind of thing.” Viv muddily explains.
“Reverse that.” Stella jokes under her breath, but no one else seems to pick up on it… especially Maddy.
“My sister’s not a dog!” Maddy completely misses Viv’s figure of speech, and none of you have it in you to shush her this time.
“Fair! Fair. Wrong choice of words on my part.” Viv half-apologizes. “Look, I was just thinking that with everything going on, we probably need points to help us out. And since Paige already said she wants to fuck Jay, and you said you’re alright with Tricia getting it on with Jay anyway…” Viv elaborates on her earlier meaning.
“That’s if she grows feelings for him!” Maddy reminds Viv of an important qualification.
“We’re getting off track, you guys.” Brooke points out, as she often does when discussions go astray.
“Not really. Viv said she did it to try and get points. Points we need more of just because Becca’s whole family are assholes.” Cassie surmises.
“That’s a bit harsh.” Maddy, still tense, calls out Cassie.
“It’s the truth, isn’t it!?” Cassie loudly argues back.
“Becca shouldn’t get blamed for the faults of her family. Jay bought me traits to help with my family too, remember? Does that make my family assholes because we needed the app to work things out?” Maddy asks Cassie, and Cassie’s eyes immediately get filled with guilt. Realizing the unintended consequences of her expression of anger.
“I’m sorry. I was being rude, and I apologize. I wasn’t blaming you, Becca. And I definitely don’t think about your family like that, Maddy.” Cassie apologizes to Becca and Maddy.
“Apology accepted.” Maddy tells her with a genuine smile. “And I’m sorry too. Maybe I read too much into what you said.” Maddy adds. “On what you both said.” Maddy then adds, addressing Viv.
“Hey~, I should be the one to apologize. I fucked up.” Viv gives an apology in return.
“As for me, I took no offense. I wholly agree with Cassie that I should take some blame for constantly bringing my family’s problems into your group.” Becca adds.
“OUR group.” You correct her. “You’re my girlfriend too, Becca.” You remind her with a smirk, and Becca’s expression becomes both apologetic and grateful for the reminder. She catches herself quickly though, covering her flustered expression with a cough before going back to her normal expression.
“That being said, I have been a magnet for trouble. Trouble that you are all now being forcefully involved in. All due to our unique relationship.” Becca admits. “It is because I feel responsible for everyone’s troubles that I took… independent action.” Becca adds, glancing towards you before her pause.
“That’s what I’m having issue with, Becca. We agreed we’ll talk about handling this ‘together’. Remember?” You tell her.
“Of course I do.” Becca answers calmly.
“Then why’d you bring a bajillion girls to my apartment?”
[Minisode# 11]: Getting to know you
Meanwhile, just outside Jay’s bedroom…
“You’re new.” Mercy sternly expresses her observation to Dana, her curiosity towards the new acquaintance evident.
“We haven’t met yet.” Dana replies, but more as a correction to how Mercy could have more politely said her introduction.
“Mercy.” Mercy tries to introduce herself.
“Excuse me?” Dana asks, unsure if she heard correctly.
“My name.” Mercy tries to clarify, but having missed to register what Mercy said earlier, Dana can only look at Mercy in embarrassment.
“Yeah… um… Could you repeat that for me?” Dana asks.
“Mercy.” Mercy repeats.
“Beaucoup?” Riley jokingly interjects, offering Mercy and Dana some of the bottled orange juice that Becca brought.
“Funny.” Mercy says, rolling her eyes. Clearly not the first time she’s heard Riley make that joke.
“Thank you so much.” Dana thanks Riley, as she accepts the drink.
“That’s the English of it.” Riley jokes, and Dana takes a second to get what she means before giving a polite chuckle.
“I’m Lamborghini by the way.” Riley jokingly introduces herself, and Mercy’s already groaning at her introduction. Dana again can only look in confusion, hoping she misheard Riley.
“Lamborghini.” Riley repeats while pointing to herself. “Mercy.” Riley adds, then pointing to Mercy. “~Your chick, she so thirsty~” Riley finally starts ‘rapping’, and Dana’s even more confused.
“~I’m in that juicy Lambo with your girl she tryna jerk me~” Nelly suddenly chimes in.
“EYYY!” Riley shouts in excitement. “I remember you! You were at the party last night, weren’t you?” Riley asks.
“Yeah~!” Nelly answers. “You were with another girl, right?” Nelly asks.
“Oh! Yeah. That was my best friend, Erica. You’d love her. She’s the original Lambo. She came up with that bit whenever we wanted to annoy Mercy out of her ‘professional’ shell.” Riley completely forgets she was talking to Dana and Mercy, and suddenly gives her full focus towards Nelly.
“If you’re not actually, Lambo, what should I call you then?” Nelly asks, trying to strike up a friendship.
“Riley.” Sofia answers for Riley from behind her sister. “You two actually met before.” Sofia reminds them.
“Oh? When?” Nelly asks.
“Remember when we went out that one time with mom and her boyfriend’s other girlfriends? You got black out drunk, as usual, so you wouldn’t remember what happened after. But we ended up in a pub to meet up with mom’s boyfriend. That’s where she was.” Sofia answers, before turning towards Riley.
“Didn’t you say that that girl you were with was your girlfriend?” Sofia asks Riley.
“I did?” Riley asks, genuinely not remembering.
“You did.” Sofia answers with a sly smirk. “Right after we found out that you had a huge crush on our mom’s boyfriend when he was your substitute teacher.” Sofia reminds Riley, whose eyes bulge in acknowledgment. Weirdly enough, even Nelly gets flustered by that revelation.
“I guess she’s just a ‘best friend’ now?” Sofia continues to teasingly prod.
“Ooooh~” Nelly reacts, realizing there was tea to be spilled. “Is juicy Lambo still crushing on our mom’s boyfriend?” Nelly starts to tag team tease Riley with her sister.
“So what if I am?” Riley stands her ground, and Nelly and Sofia start laughing.
“She’s gonna be fine.” Nelly tells her sister, as if their teasing was a test.
“Care to explain?” Riley asks.
“If you don’t know how to stand up for yourself, our mom’s gonna turn you into her foot stool.” Sofia explains.
“You must not know her.” Mercy interjects, placing her arm around Riley. “She’s actually into that.” Mercy tells them.
“Does everybody just openly talk about sex, or am I the weird one?” Lizzie asks Paige, while sipping on her coffee. The three assistants are eavesdropping on the conversation of the bigger group on the side, very much worn out from a night that hasn’t ended yet for them.
“After last night,” Paige starts to answer Lizzie.
“I don’t know what’s weird or normal anymore.”
