What Does Sav'era Do?
The Meaning of Purity (End Sex Scene)
Susan lay there, her legs trembling and she was breathing fast. The pleasure and feelings which Sav'era's skilful hands had flooded her body with what would remain with her for a very long time, and she squirmed just thinking about it now. The aftershocks of her climax were still spreading through her body. She looked up at the crimson-skinned woman. Sav'era had risen to her feet now and wiped her face with one arm. Her tongue flickered out, touching a spot of Susan's arousal which had marked her face and she grinned.
Susan's face coloured and she looked away. Sav'era laughed, but not unkindly.
"You're so sheltered," the demon said. "It's hard to believe that there are humans like you. Humans who deny yourselves simple pleasure. That's what I could never understand about your kind. Why should you do that? What is the point in it? Sex feels good, doesn't it? So why should you not enjoy it as much as possible? Your lives are so very short. You more than I should be concerned with pleasure. I have a thousand years to enjoy myself. You probably don't have a hundred."
"That's not it," Susan said, surprising herself by arguing. "Sex is...is fun... but we can get pregnant and then we'd have to raise children."
"There are ways around that," Sav'era said. "And sex is more than just fun. Or did you not enjoy my tongue a moment before?"
"I enjoyed it..." Susan admitted. "V-very much. But we were always taught that there were more important things than simple pleasure."
"That is true," Sav'era surprised her by nodding. "There are more important things. But the human tendency to assume that just because there are more important things, it means that you must deny the less important ones continues to confuse me. Instead of saying ''it's this or that'' what you should be saying is ''Why not do both?'' After all, aren't your paladins sworn never to take a lover?"
"That's right," Susan said. "Purity is the source of their power. Their strength. It is-"
"Lies." Sav'era said bluntly. "As someone who has fought your paladins, virginity has absolutely nothing to do with swinging a sword. It is true, their power comes from purity of heart. But if your heart can be corrupted by simple pleasure and desire, I question how pure it was to begin with."
"I don't understand," Susan said. "What do you mean?"
"Purity and virginity are not related," Sav'era rolled her eyes. "Trust humans to link two things that have absolutely no connection. Purity is how much you believe, your strength, your conviction. These things ground you and empower you. They are not affected by how many times you have fucked or been fucked. A paladin could have sex a thousand times and - so long as they still hold themselves a paladin - that is what they are. A paladin could be a virgin for their whole life, but if their conviction is shattered, their power shall flee them. Do you see? You create connections where there are none."
