Chapter 2 by Nemo of Utopia Nemo of Utopia

Let's divide builds into groups. What are you focusing on?

The Life Aquatic + "You Will Bow To The Water God!"

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This story will have a gender fluid bisexual dragon who uses both gendered pronouns interchangeably for himself and my descriptions of her actions. If this bothers you? Read something else.

As your Dragon Egg Streaks towards one of the four Continents like a meteor coming in at a low angle set on 0.5% playback speed you take a look at the four options: psycho neighbors that want you dead? No. Asian inspired super empires? Nah. Frozen Wasteland? Nyet. (The cold always bothered you, anyway.) Tropical Island Paradise? NOW you're talking!

Your Robin-egg thin shell of raw dragonite the size of a small mountain keeps slow-falling toward the land, what's next? Races.

You get a sense of the general things you can be, and... None of them quite 'fit': You're REALLY wishing you could be something between a Sea Serpent and a Leviathan, smash those two together, HARD, and then, with a little "POP!" it happens, but you feel 45 of your 300 Ur-embers wink out...

Size? That's a DUH, "Go Big or Go Home!", you'll be Gargantuan; They don't call you a "leviathan" for nothing. 40 more Ur-embers go down, bringing you to 205.

Color is next, and, you decide on a navy blue upper surface with a more sky-blue belly shading through aquamarine along your flanks, with brighter blue fins: Blue all over, but several different shades and tints forming a primitive camouflage. You also choose at this moment that you will have a pressurized water jet as your breath-weapon. You choose this because living in the water mostly you will have an effectively unlimited amount of water breath attacks the majority of the time. You focus on your breath weapon, and ratchet it up as strong as it can go right now, but you don't try to "overclock" it, which you can sense is possible, but can only be applied to one thing...

Now you get to the "customize my body" part. You have 195 Ur-embers left and are already pretty sure that it won't be quite enough, given how expensive everything has been already, but you will deal with it when you get to that point.

Right off the bat you take stock of what you already have by default.

You are amphibious twice over, so you trade one of those back in for +15 Ur-embers putting the total back up to 210. You get fins 2 from your leviathan side which brings with it Resistance (heat) 1 and Swimming 1, which combines with the swimming 2 you get from your sea-serpent aspect to give you swimming 3, making you frighteningly fast. Both sides also give you "Jaws" for a total of 3, damn near epic levels, and you have a little bit of a plan for how to bring it up to "kill the invincible" territory, but that comes later. "Sea-serpent" nets you tail 2, which means you can **** the life out of your opponents up to one size category lower, which equates to "damned near anything" especially since you are amphibious and can drag most creatures into an environment where they straight-up can't breathe anyway.

That's all you have already paid for, now for further enhancements.

First off, you grab Scales 3, 30 more embers gutter and go out, putting your scales at the strength where they can turn Dragonite weapons; then you focus on them, HARD: harder, harder than that, and flexible at the same time, an impossible perfect material that is incapable of being destroyed by ANYTHING... Thirty more embers wink out and you smirk inwardly: good luck killing you NOW, but you still weren't quite immortal, not YET...

To that end you spend another 30 Ur-embers on Regeneration 3: even if they manage to injure you, it's not going to be able to make much of a difference over the long term. 90 more Ur-embers down and with only 120 left, you know that you are going to need to find some means to get more... Fortunately, you already know that it's possible to do that, from the way you were able to turn in your duplicate amphibious trait for extra embers.

You pick up Digging 2 and Crawling 2 for some extra movement options for both the surface world and also the seabed, which are good for both escape and attack, costing you another 30 embers total, and coming to the end of the standard trait options discover that you are normally infertile, to which you think, "Oh FUUUCK THAT!" since impregnation has always been a major fetish of yours. You take it up to 3, which extinguished a further 30 Embers, but it was power well spent as far as you are concerned. Now with 60 embers left you move on to the more unusual traits...

The first thing that you pick up is Eyeless Sight, removing a key vulnerability. And utilize this redesign to make yourself look somewhat like a aquatic draconian xenomorph queen, just for funsies. Going through the rest of this section you pick up a crushing beak, somewhat similar to that of an eagle, but with a series of jagged tearing segments for consuming meat and fish. You move on to pick up pheromones for attracting both men and women sexually, and make your genitalia able to interact well with both types of sapient beings as well. In your previous life you were a gender fluid bisexual/pan-romantic, though you can not remember if you were male or female or what anatomy wise, and are resolved that this time around, it simply won't matter. Last you grab two insurance policies for you to survive, a resurrection egg, and full reincarnation, allowing you to truly survive no-matter-what! You now are out of Ur-embers, but you can't stop here, there's so much more that you need! You push past and keep developing, and as you do, motes of Ur-Frost begin to form, bringing cold where there was previously heat, you are instinctively aware that if you don't reheat your egg to at least tepid before you land you will be stillborn... Now with 45 Ur-frost motes floating in the albumin of your egg you turn at last to your diet.

The rubric you choose here is fairly easy, anything humans can consume, you can too, but without any problems for it being raw... Meat, seafood, bugs (yes humans can-&-do eat bugs), plants, and blood. This costs you 22 further motes of Ur-Frost, and you are now feeling icy cold. 67 Ur-Frost motes now float in your egg with you, making you shiver.

You have to get warm again, and you know just what you need for that, DRAWBACKS. You can convert the Ur-Frost motes into embers and melt the rest with various types of penalties that make you not quite as overwhelmingly powerful as you are now.

First off, you pick up Nocturnal. Solitude is a welcome change of pace sometimes, and after all, some people are night owls, so you won't be alone at night all the time. Next you grab Hoarder, and for your hoard you pick "Trophies", the front decoration of any ships you sink, among other such relics and reminders of your prowess, are going to make up your hoard. You also grab "Horny" because, let's be honest, you are already an adult mentally, so you are OK with being so physically right out of the gate, you keep looking and notice, "elemental weakness", which, while you are unimpressed with the standard options, you find another hidden one. "Holy" is a standard option, but "Unholy" isn't, because Unholy items are just ones consecrated to a rival God's religion, but there is a true opposite, "Blasphemous", those things that contain ANTI-Diefic energy, energy made of a disbelief of all gods and the like. This will be your weakness, for you are like unto a God.

You keep going, proclaiming your sense of duty and guardianship to be pledged to the merfolk, tritons, and sirens of the sea, for there will you forge your Empire. From here you move on to the decision that your body is incompatible with volcanic hellscapes, deserts, badlands, savanahs, and arid mountains, which are all too dry for you, although an area of volcanic steam vents would not be, though it does probably have enough heat to be painful and eventually debilitating. Still, you're not quite satisfied, and decide to take one last drawback, "Whelp", which makes you a baby dragon instead of a fully grown adult. "Youth is wasted on the young," so they say, but you were not young anymore in your previous life, and will appreciate your youth properly this time!

This has given you a surplus of 53 Ur-embers and you considered that maybe you had been a little bit drawback happy, but then the prayers started coming in, and you realized that maybe you hadn't been drawback happy ENOUGH.

As you sifted through the sleeting prayers and wishes you singled out a dozen that were "worthy" in your estimate. First was a dragon, a mighty terror of the deep who lay dying on the shore of a small northern island at the hands of Andorian dragon hunters, you snatched him back from the brink of **** and teleported him to a different island where you too would soon land, making him a small horny 'Hatchling' like yourself in the process. He would be one of your primary sexual outlets for the first five years of your life. That costs nine of the 53 Ur-embers you've regained, but it's Power well spent.

Next you scan the prayers from Andor, and the overwhelming majority of them are, disappointing.

A prince trying to shirk his duties? A horny wizard who wants to **** his students? An Inquisitor who wants to save a girl from **** by stripping her soul of magic? No, no, NO!

Two however is worthwhile: both elven maids, they are both wishing for something of greater merit: one, to restore the sacred connection of her Goddess to her people, and the other to be able to feel true emotion without committing ****. These you grant and feel them materialize in the jungle above the beach of your chosen island, an island you have chosen for a reason, the dragon lord of the island is a terrible tyrant who has offended one of his royal guards so greatly that she is WISHING for you to take her away from all this. You know that you don't have power enough to rescue her yourself, but, that said, you do have power enough to summon to your side allies strong enough to subdue the traitorous wretch, and will do as much gladly. He is an embarrassment to all dragonkind.

To that end you examine the northern Continent, who should you summon here?

The queen of the snow elves is the only woman or man here that you find to be both worthy and pressing in her need enough to expend Ur-embers in granting her wish. With her powerful magic, she will be able to aid you and the others in contacting her people and calling them to migrate-en-mass to an island where you will be able to reach them beyond the southwest coast of the Continent. There, they are going to settle in peace and tranquility under your far more benevolent rule than that last Monster, as their queen's Demonic "King-Consort". You'll not rule them directly, but rather advise and assist their queen in doing so, she will rule them, you'll only rule HER. She too appears on the island, standing on a glacier well above the highest tsunami level.

You now turn to your core area, Ixtacotak, and find that this land holds MANY you consider worthy of your aid, first of all you notice the **** prayers for salvation of three women being oppressed by their lords, Metztli, Itotia, & Yanya. Now down 7 more Ur-embers you stand at 20 Embers left.

You grab Lezeli, Takal, & Atzi from this Continent as well, and at the last, choose to make one man, whose wish has been denied five times, at-last have the surcease he desires from his living prison, and the resurrection he has long been denied. You give Aamontep command of his dragonite body: then it's on to the last of the four, super-pseudo-Asia, as you are privately thinking of it.

There only one wish is deemed worthy, that of Meili, the courtesan from the Phoenix Empire, and you are quite willing to snatch her away, and even more so that you can **** the Empress with the knowledge that you would have been **** into an alliance IF she had not threatened the girl with being married against her will and thus she must negotiate with you as a free agent. You are going to grind that fact into her ego like powdered GLASS.

All your soon-to-be allies have appeared on the slopes of the island around the lagoon where your mighty egg will land, and you get ready to greet them in a few minutes when time slows to a crawl and there is a babble of voices, the various gods of the world offering you deals, bargains, PACTS.

With what God(s) will you align yourself?
