The Jimmyverse Bible

A lot of the info here has shown up in my other stories. What follows are the basic rules of Gods or forces of nature in the Jimmyverse.

• Deities and Personifications are essentially immortal and invulnerable, yet require human belief to power that immortality and invulnerability
• All deities (with a couple of notable exceptions) have accepted and signed the Olympus Accords, which govern the acceptable behavior and conduct of divine and supernatural beings.
• The Olympus Accords forbid more than three Deities from directly meddling in the affairs of any single mortal over the course of that mortals life.
• The Accords also forbid any single deity from directly meddling in the affairs of more than 10 mortals who have not dedicated themselves to that deity simultaneously. Exceptions such as Santa Claus are rare.
• Infractions against the Accords are punished by The Council, a group of 8 deities from numerous pantheons and faiths that changes membership once per decade. The current Council is made up of Iblis, Yahweh (the Old Testament God, the New Testament God, Jehovah, is too busy listening to prayers and punishing his own followers), Grandfather Coyote, Jerry Garcia (who became a divine being in his own lifetime but took on the mantle of godhood after his passing), Hera, Timothy Leary (another post-mortality apotheosis), Anubis, and Sif.
• If a god’s name is remembered by people, that god still exists in some form
• Gods can change form with a shift in the paradigm of reality. Examples include Odin becoming Santa Claus and Ahura Mazda becoming Yahweh.
• A god can assume the form and mantle of a newly formed god if there is a large enough ebb in belief. Gilgamesh became Jesus Christ in this manner.
• New gods can come into existence if enough belief in them exists. Examples include The Invisible Pink Unicorn, and The Flying Spaghetti Monster.
• A mortal may become divine in his own lifetime if sufficient belief exists. Or be elevated following the **** of the mortal. A current example would be Kibo, God of the Internet.
