Chapter 279 by SilverSpectre006 SilverSpectre006

What's next?

The Holy Spirits

"W-what is this?" Janette's voice trembled as she looked around, her eyes dancing from one woman to another. "Where am I?"

"Relax." The golden-haired beauty of the group reached out to her, holding her hands as if they were close friends. "You're in our special little pocket of space we've created to contact you."

"Created?" She asked, looking down. As her eyes scanned over her body, she began to realize her clothes were not the same she wore a moment ago back at the tower. These clothes were the old ones she often favored to use when she was in her years of adolescence, a slim fit that hugged her figure while maintaining a sense of comfort with no sharp color contrast. Popping out from the crowd was not her desire after all, at first glance this type of clothing made her out to appear as a commoner, a rural student dressed in a brown short skirt and a brown solid wrapped top with leather shoes. But her body remained in her mid 20s, she was dressed younger but was not the same age as when she wore this outfit.

The tall golden-haired woman noticed her curious look and cleared her throat. "Is there something wrong?"

"Why did you guys have me dressed like I was ten years younger?"

"That..." The frighteningly malnourished woman began to speak, interrupted by a late yawn. "That was your choice, just ask Desiree."

"Desiree?" She repeated, turning toward the golden-haired woman who flashed a smile in return.

"This world is of your making dear. We simply extracted memories in your head that you would find most comforting, have you not noticed?" Desiree answered, waving her delicate fingers with an outstretched arm as she presented the world to their guest. Janette stepped forward and realized what she had meant, this wasn't just any orchard that manifested around them, it was her family's owned agriculture. As she squinted past the field, she could see the windmill stand above the landscape signifying where her family house stood. How she longed to see her home again.

She let out a tired release of air, clutching her hand in a fist.

"Something wrong? Does this place not suit you?"

"It's perfect... but I can't stay. I need to save my friends."

"Your friends?" Desiree repeated aloud in a curious tone.

"My friends, they've been **** into the ritual as a sacrifice. They... am I a ghost?" She gasped, looked around and pushing past two of the women frantically turning her head left and right. "Am I a spirit? Where are they, Syri, Dimyri and KuliKuli?"

"You mean my daughters?" She reached out with a snap of her fingers. A gust of wind spiralled into view, obscuring vision with a thick cloud of dust before three Nekomata cat girls came into view. There stood Syri, Dimyri, and KuliKuli curled up and tucked into a claustrophobic confinement of orbs which fit their size just barely. Her bright blue eyes stared into Janette with a deliciously heartwarming grin to the corner of her lips. "They're here with me. What about them?"

"R-Release them! Please? I-I don't want them to die-"

"We can't." The fat woman snorted, turning to spit to her side and scratch her bottom. "You already gave them to us, set the ritual in its entirety. Cuties like these are ever so precious to us."

"Don't you know what makes them so special?" The shorter woman with the sad face stepped forward, approaching Janette and moving past her space of comfort. Janette stepped back away from her, but she insisted to come closer despite this as if desperately trying to catch her in an embrace. Rather than fear, she felt pity for this one. "You have no clue, do you? You poor thing."

"How are you surprised Vy? These creatures have always been ignorant no matter how often we start over." The raven-haired woman scoffed.

"What Pryde means," Desiree explained. "Is that these girls are an extremely rare hybrid of mix essence. They are a part of me as well as a part of him, our creator. Now, my sisters and I have created plenty of life through our essence. However, no such thing from Father bears life, it has to be... coalesced into a living form. Even then, not all forms can handle heavy quantities of our Father so just to find an accurate measurement within limitations is a difficult feat to accomplish."

She approached the three cat girls, her hand phasing through the sphere as if it were nothing but light, her fingers rustling and playing with Syri's hair. Syri remained in her fetal position just like her sisters, however the playful gesture did produce a twitch from her cat ear.

"This one's father contains the essence of our creator, something your people acknowledge as light magic. Her mother is my creation, filled with what you refer to as dark magic. These are odd names, but it's of no surprise to us."

The dark-haired bitter woman Janette now knew as Pryde briefly interrupted with her own retort. "You people always suffer from an insatiable appetite for knowledge, the desire to understand and control what does not belong to you. That is our right, yet no matter how many times we restart this game your kind fall into the same play by play every hundredth day. It's predictable."

"And boring." The thin one muttered.

"What are you guys, gods?" Janette questioned, her hands running through her hair tempted to pull it.

"My apologies dear, we have had our head in the clouds without a visitor for so long that we've forgotten our manners." Desiree said. She was the tallest, and so Janette assumed she was the one in charge of the rest. She placed a hand below her large breasts, bowing to her with her hair hanging down like fine gold silk. "I have many names, but my favorite is Desiree."

The obese woman burst into a fit of coughs, hacking at her throat and pounding the barrel of jelly she called her stomach. Just the act of breathing seemed a tad difficult for her size. Her eyes caught on to the red treats hanging from the trees of the orchard, she licked her lips and waddled toward them in haste.

"That one would be my sister, Gula. She is often quite famished I'm afraid." Desiree explained.

One woman of medium height stepped in to introduce herself, the one wearing a dress exaggerated with shiny accessories from top to bottom and jewelry on every ear and finger. She put one foot in front of another and bent her knees in a curtsy. "You may call me Klepta madame, and might I say your eyes have a delightful sparkle to them like a pearl glistening in the bottom of deep, blue waters."

Janette nodded, visibly anxious as her eyes continued glancing over to her friends. Gula was waving her hand around, leaping around feebly reaching for the apple hanging from the lowest branch. Frustrated and exhausted, she pouted and fell back against the tree, causing the poor thing to quake under her immense weight. A flurry of apples began raining down, with several falling on her lap as she beamed and clapped her hands in joy.

This time the shortest of the seven stepped in, biting her tongue and carefully bending her knees forward while pinching and raising the sides of her dress. Her knees wobbled and she seemed rathed clumsy, her face began to turn a bright red as some of her sisters snickered around her awkward display.

"I am... I-I am..."

It was clear she was trying so hard to copy Klepta, she sighed and hung her head in distress. Reaching out, she reluctantly went for a handshake greeting instead and grasped Janette's hand with her own. "My name is Vy, and wow-"

The sudden contrast was apparent, this woman's hand felt like rough scales with a chilling coldness to them. Janette instinctively tried to pull away but it felt like fighting a dog's hold on a bone. The woman seemed none the wiser to her reaction, instead fixated on the contact they made as she reached over and sat her other hand on top, now holding her with both hands. She traced her finger around Janette's palm, slowly moving her digit across her forearm.

"You have such beautiful skin, so warm and appealing. So much better than my own." Her voice croaked, sounding as if she were fighting back tears. Desiree looked nervous, moving in one step at a time while Klepta seemed to find the display entertaining.

"Th-Thank you, now please? Ouch!" Janette gritted her teeth, placing her legs apart as she fought hard to pull her hand away. Her feet were digging into the dirt, but this woman didn't budge at all. "Let go!"

"Such a pretty face, with such pretty, smooth skin..."

Desiree now stood next to her shorter sister, eying her with a serious scowl. "Vy?"

Vy stared into Janette's eyes as if she were in some form of trance, her face suddenly forming cracks through dried skin. Her eyes became empty and hollow lacking pupils and life as her hair began to shrivel and turn white. She squeezed Janette's hand hard enough to make her yelp in pain.

"I want to wear her skin."

"Vy, that's enough!" Desiree broke her hold, pulling her hands away as Janette fell on her back hard. Vy stepped back and looked up to Desiree, her face having returned to normal. Her eyes began to swell with tears and she covered her face, falling to her knees as she began to sob and run away. Her outburst apparently woke the malnourished girl from her nap, lifting her head with a blank stare, neither shocked or upset. Desiree turned back to Janette and helped her to her feet, brushing her arm and inspecting her hand. Janette winced but saw no marks or bruises.

The sleepy skinny woman yawned and sat down, apparently too tired to stand. When her sisters waited for her to introduce herself, she closed her eyes and began to snore. Desiree rolled her eyes and sighed. "That one is Cora, she's not quite active herself. This one here is Ira, come introduce yourself."

Ira nodded her head in acknowledgement, choosing not to curtsy like the others. She was a quiet redhead, Janette wondered if she had heard her voice at all during her encounter.

"That leaves me as the last for introductions." Janette turned as the dark haired woman raised her head, arms parted as if to display herself to a crowd. It did work as Janette did see this woman chose not to dress like her sisters, rather than a crinoline dress for royalty she had a violet dress with a long skirt which left a small bit of room around her covered legs. Decorating around the collar of her dress and the wrists where white ruffle collars puffing out in a slight exaggerated fashion, lined with tiny jewels or diamonds that glittered when the light struck. However, the collar was not evenly designed with a sharp curvature to the right and the left cut off short. Her hair was braided to give the look of a crown around her head with tiny black roses surrounding it with a braided ponytail behind her. But her snow white skin seemed too pale as if she wore struck with frostbite, her lips held no color and seemed to blend in with her pale white face and beside her eyes matching the color of her dress something in them looked unnatural to her. It was hard to place at first, but Janette figured out why she was odd to stare into, the color scheme of her eyes were inverted. The iris in her eyes were violet, however the sclera was black and her pupils were white. Why only she had such eyes left Janette puzzled.

"I am Pryde, first-born daughter and birth mother to all Monster Girls and dark magic!" The way she said that last bit it was obviously spoken with a mocking tone. "We are demons to some and angels to others! Peacemakers, World-enders, life-bringers and religion-makers, we are many, many things but to you, a mother we are not!"

"What does that mean?" Janette looked puzzled and anxious, her mind feeling overwhelmed by this point. Desiree reached out and embraced her from behind in a loving hug, her breasts resting atop Janette's head casting a shadow shielding her from the light above.

"Sweet child, we have brought life to many creatures in many times. But this world is not our making and neither are you. What my sister means is your people are not our creation, rather you are our father's legacy."

"Your father, there's more Gods!?" She choked.

Desiree giggled innocently and shook her head. "You're adorable, let's just stick to the subject. What are you willing to offer us?"

Janette glanced up like a child would under her mothers embrace, staring with a curious yet troubled look. "Offer... what?"

"Your offer. You are asking us to relinquish our prize, what do you have to offer in return?"

Janette looked flustered. "What makes them special to you? If you guys say I'm your father's creation, and that their dad has your fathers essence of light magic, shouldn't I have light magic as well?"

"Were it so simple." Pryde snorted. "No, you have no light magic or dark magic in you. Light magic is very selective and is not inherited voluntarily into another creature unless through hereditary influence."

"So... the ritual." Janette realized, her eyes growing wide. "The Monster Hunter ritual, that's what gives them light magic!"

"To slay our daughters, yes." Desiree explained, her hands sliding down Janette's shoulders and chest, lightly brushing the sides of her breasts. "Imagine our surprise when he mated with my daughter instead. Now we have three wonderful babies and you dare ask us to give them back?"

"S-Stop that." She tried pulling away when Desiree's arms now slithered around her waist as she nuzzled against her neck, sniffing her.

"Mmm, I can still smell my influence in you. You slept with one of my girls, didn't you?" She giggled, much to her delight. "And yet, it was not enough to sate your lusssst."

"That's not true-"

"Is it?" Pryde snapped, "Soon after being mated with her, you decide to fuck a stranger in a tavern after."

"No!"

"Yessssss." Desiree shivered, her tongue lightly dragging along Janette's neck. "Mmmm, you're the worst of your friends. You crave passion and intimacy, the sex... but you struggle with commitment and loyalty. You desire what you can't have, it's your sin. Not envy, lust. The feel of a man and a woman embracing your body, obeying your command, pleasuring, kissing, touching... you can't get enough of it. But you shrivel and cower in fear of your desires, you turned yourself into recluse. Ah yes, I've been a fan for some time now J'Nette O'lav Cicarrio. I think... I think I know what I want from you."

Janette shook and looked around, uncomfortable in her position. "W-What would that be?"

She leaned in close, her bright red lips whispering into her ear. "Your body."

"No!" Janette tried pulling away in fear, much to her amusement. She chuckled and let her go, stepping back and standing up, towering over her.

"Am I not your type? I can fix that." She asked in an innocent tone with a finger to her lip, giving her bedroom eyes. Janette felt speechless as Desiree changed in form, shrinking in size, her waist going slim and her hair turning white. Her hands turned into paws and she wagged her two tails playfully as she now appeared as a splitting image of Syri. "Is this more to your liking?"

Vy stepped forward with a curious gleam in her eyes, annoying her hotter sibling as Desiree folded her arms. "What?"

"Let me take her body, I want to know what it feels like."

"No, no one is taking my body!" She cried out, stumbling and falling back. Desiree sighed and reverted back to her original form.

"How cute, the human thinks she's above us now." Pryde retorted with a wave of her hair. "Ira."

Without warning, Ira appeared behind Janette and pinned her into the ground face first. Janette struggled and squirmed but she felt helpless, like fighting back against a beast ten times her size. Looking as far back as she could, Ira looked to have a cold stare in her eyes as the other six sisters appeared around her, snickering with malicious smirks and a mischievous gleam in their eyes.

"Stop it please! No!"

Desiree leaned in close. "Listen, and listen well. You do not ask us, you do not command us. You beg to us, and we will abide if we feel like it. You are of no position to demand we give back what was rightfully given to us!"

"I just wanted to save my friends!"

"All bad ends begin with good intentions." Ira responded, keeping Janette's face planted against the dirt. Suddenly the world around her grew dark, the grass began to decay and rot and the trees lost their leaves and fell empty and brittle.

"If you don't help, he'll kill them all!"

"Who?" Vy asked.

"Perdilius, he-he plans to cleanse the world by killing the Monster Girls! Your daughters, please!"

Desiree chuckled and shook her head. "We are capable of granting many things, if that is his wish then so be it. It will be nice to have some new faces here."

"Wait! What if I... what if I give you something else? You wanted another offer, right?"

"Perhaps we prefer you.. " Vy smiled, brushing Janette's soft hair in admiration.

"Listen to me, what's..." Janette winced, turning to her right to see her friends, to see Syri rotating in her ball ****. "What's your price?"

"What?"

"Listen!" Janette growled, staring into Desiree's eyes in anger. "I've ran a marketing business, I know a thing about negotiating prices. Everyone has a price they can settle on, even you."

"What gall." Pryde rolled her eyes.

Desiree raised her hand to stop her. Ira stepped off and allowed Janette back on her feet. "Let her finish, you asked for our price?"

Janette patted herself down, clearing her throat.

"Not them, you. You said they're your daughters, you made the Nekomata Cat Girls yes? Then I'm only dealing with you. So, what's your price?"

Desiree smiled, stepping forward until she was uncomfortably close. "How far are you willing to go to save your friends?"
