What are your Genie's rules?
The Genie of The Gas Light—The Wisher Believes The Genie's Wishes Are Their Own
Oh, it has been so long since anyone has lived in my domain. 80 years-ago, I was formed by the natural gases used to light this home, and I made it more successful than any house or business this side of the Pennines. The Hooligans Manor and Family would have fizzled out as the times changed high society. I saved them with my wishes for years, and what did I get? Abandoned!
Oh, if only those traitors didn't keep the rights to this place. Wouldn't that be something; in trying to make the world forget me, they themselves would soon forget me and sell this random estate for some quick cash. At the same time however, could they have forgotten me AND a former family home?
Grrr, if only I could make them sell it, but life just never works in my favor, does it? I need a human-ish being to speak their desire for me to speak mine, but I can't get any humans in here without the Hooligans! Cursed life I've been given! Why must God allow such evil to exist!?
Huh? What was that? The gravel was rumbling, as if a car was pulling into the driveway! Oh— I can't truly tell. Maybe it was just footsteps? Maybe a carriage? No matter what it is, someone has come to save me!
I move my spirit to the attic, lighting it up with my natural homey warmth. I peer out the window and see. . .
Who dares pull into this Haunted Mansion?
