The Cursed VR Game

It had taken many forms over the years. A board game. A conventional video game. But cursed items had to move with the times, and so this ancient and cursed artefact took the form of a curious and intricate VR headset. It seems to function with no wires, and despite being metal to the touch, somehow looks like it's carved out of aged wood.

Upon donning the helmet, the wearer is bodily transported into a virtual world, where everything is made up of pixels and a game is constructed around the unfortunate soul driven by their base desires and subconscious. The processing power in this fantastical magic world is something to behold.

The helmet seems to appear in odd places, from garage sales to thrift stores to cursed magic shops appearing and disappearing from location to location.
