The Crimes of Lord Roujin

The crying woman was sitting in the shade of one of the larger trees; she was dressed in the same servant garb that Sav'era was wearing and seemed totally lost to the world. The succubus considered simply moving on, but something about the scene drew her in. She sighed to herself, knowing that it was once more her softness which **** her to action. She was, she would admit, not a very good demon when it came to certain things.

"Are you all right?"

The woman looked up, her eyes were red and wide.

"Oh, um, I didn't see you there," She said, hurriedly wiping her face. "I...I'm fine. Really. I am."

Sav'era cocked her head to the side.

"I don't know if you are. You don't look very fine to me. You've been crying."

"It..it's nothing." The woman said. "I hurt my leg and the pain is making me teary. I'll be fine in a few minutes. Y-yes, that's it."

From the way she was wording it, she didn't expect Sav'era to believe it. As indeed, she did not. The demon could sense the deceit in the woman's words, as well as a quiet pit of desperation in her soul. Sav'era put on her brightest smile and spoke again.

"Yes, it's always hard when you hurt yourself, isn't it? It's so easy to think that there's no way out. That is to say, that you might have to hobble on your own all the way home. But I am sure if you let someone help you, you would find it a lot easier."

The woman faltered, but then shook her head.

"I can't tell you," She said. "If I did, it would only get you into trouble too. I don't recognise your face. Are you new here?"

"Something like that," Sav'era said, sitting on the grass before her. "Quite new. If you don't want to tell me, can I at least try to guess? Is it something to do with your job in the palace?"

The woman looked down and Sav'era knew she was right.

"I shouldn't say anything", The woman said. "I'll be punished if I say anything. I-if I tell anyone. He's done it to others too, and they were all fine. I just have to grin and bear it."

"Grin and bear what?" Sav'era pressed, putting a little more **** into her voice now. "You can tell me. You know that you can tell me. I want to help you."

"I can't, I won't tell you." The woman said. "And you can't help me anyway."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that," Sav'era said. She sighed. She'd hoped not to have to do this, but it seemed the woman was going to refuse to talk. She gathered her power and when she spoke again, her words dripped like honey. Hypnotic suggestion hanging off every one of them.

"You can tell me anything, you know that. We're friends."

"F-friends?" The woman's eyes were wide. "I...I don't know you..."

"And yet we are friends. The very best of friends. You wouldn't want to hide something from a friend, would you? That would be terrible. You should tell me what's wrong. I promise it won't go badly for you."

The woman frowned, shaking her head. on some level she knew that something was wrong but given her emotional state, her willpower had already been weakened considerably. Sav'era's words hammered into her mind, a blow which shattered any defence her lagging will could have thrown up.

"It's Lord Roujin." The maid said. "I don't know why I am telling you this. It..it's very curious but I don't feel as if you're going to make it worse."

"I'm not," Sav'era assured her. "Now what about Lord Roujin?"

"I was assigned to him today as his personal maid. His last one vanished. She just up and left one day. According to rumour, she got married or there was some sort of affair... I didn't know. I was just happy to be given such an assignment. Serving a lord directly is a big step up, you know? and...and it can mean good things for your career. I was really excited."

"I see." Sav'era said. "And I am guessing that didn't last?"

"No," Said the woman. "The first thing that he did this morning was tell me to strip out of my uniform. I was confused. Did he have some kind of personal heraldry that he wanted me to wear instead? No, he said. He refused to be served by any woman who was not naked. I...I'd never heard of this before and none of the servants spoke about it, but when I objected he said that he could destroy me! With a single word, he could ruin my career, and have me fired from the palace! Work is hard to find at the moment, and I make good money here. Finding a new job that pays as well would be impossible. And I have a younger sister and a brother to watch out for."

"I see," Sav'era said. "And what happened next?"

"What choice did I really have? I took off my clothes. And then he told me to take off my underwear too, and stand before him naked. H-he examined me like I was some sort of ****, and gave me a list of rules!"

"What were the rules?"

"I was only allowed to move around on my hands and knees," The woman said. "Th-there was a butt-plug that I had to keep in at all times. My pussy and my breasts had to be constantly within reach of him, and I was to obey all orders without question. When I agreed to all of that, he told me to masturbate in front of him and then to suck him off."

"And you did?"

"I didn't have a choice! I needed the job and the money. And he was right; it would be his word against my own. I knew that I would never be believed over a noble."

"If the paladins knew, I doubt that it would be that simple." Sav'era said. "They despise that sort of thing. I doubt that him being a noble would shield him."

"No! Please don't tell them! You don't understand... Roujin is part of a big family! E-even if he was locked away, the rest of his line would want to avenge him for the sake of honour! I would be utterly crushed. I'd be rendered destitute and never able to get a job at the palace ever again!"

"I see." Sav'era stood up slowly. "Well, that leaves only one option then. Your job is done for the day, yes?"

"T-that's right."

"Then forget about Lord Roujin." Sav'era said. "Forget about your duty to him. Go back to working at the palace."

"But he'll send for me!"

"No. No he won't. Forget about him."

Those last words were tinged with ****, and one more the woman looked confused and dazed. She blinked for a few moments, and then her tears dried up.

"W-what am I doing here?"

"Nothing much," Sav'era said. "You'd best get home. I am sure your family are looking for you."

"Y-yes, of course!"

As the maid hurried away, Sav'era stood under the shadow of the trees, a dark frown on her face.

She'd known of course that people were people everywhere, whether they were demons or humans, but she still felt utter disgust for the man. She knew that she really should keep a low profile, but she couldn't help it.

Sav'era sighed.

She really was a terrible demon.
