The Classmate

Angel liked being in the background. Due to being shy and a crippling case of stage fright, she’s never really been one to draw attention to herself. At least, not with her presents.

No, she wants to draw attention with her words. She loves to write, and wants to be an author some day. That’s why she’s a creative writing major, and why she is so drawn to David. He isn’t much older than she is, yet he’s already an author.

But for now, she’s just his classmate watching him from afar.

Angel was so confused on how she got here. When did she go to a Garden? She looked around at the other people, and saw that they all had their eyes on her. Fiora, who was sitting next to her, gave her a happy smile.

“Hi, I'm Fiora. What's your name?” Angel felt like she should be panicking, but wasn't. Instead, she hugged herself and tried to hide behind her hair.

“Angel, it's ok. Well, not really. But I can guarantee that no one here is going to hurt you. Especially not Fiora,” said David. Angel looked over at him and smiled.

“Angel, that's such a pretty name,” said Fiora. Angel smiled at her as Esmeralda walked over.

“Welcome to Harem Hotel. You will be competing for the top stop in the Master's Harem. Now, there are a few questions to answer.” Just like the oth- oh who am I kidding, you know how this goes.

“My name is Angela Jennings, but I go by Angel. I'm 21 and I work at the campus library. I'm bi. The Master and I have a class together, and I really admire him for his accomplishments as an author and for being a good person. I also have a small crush on him. I'm a virgin.” Once Angel regained control, she buried her head in her hands and bowed her head in shame.

“Another one, seriously? I honestly don't know what you guys see in me.” Once again, a chorus of face palms rang throughout the Garden.

“How is he such an idiot?” questioned Hailey.

“I don't know. But it's so cute,” said Rachel.

“And finally, we can move onto our final contestant. Believe it or not, most of you know her, despite none of you having met her.”
