The Favorite Actress

Morgan both loved and hated being a Hollywood star. On one hand, it's a lot of fun. She genuinely loves her fans and the money allows her to help a lot of people.

On the other hand, she hates rich people. She hates how fake they are. She hates how everything is a transaction. And she really hates how she doesn't know how to live any other way.

All she wants is something real. All she wants is to find a real connection and have a real chance at love.

She was about to get her wish.

Morgan looked around the garden in confusion. This definitely wasn't the fancy party she was getting ready to attend.

“NO WAY!” Rachel exclaimed, her eyes winding to the size of dinner plates.

“Morgan Rivera, I can't believe it,” said Jennifer.

“Who?” questioned Fiora. Morgan looked around at the mesmerized woman with slight caution.

“Can someone tell me where I am?”

“I don't get it, why is she here? We've never met. I thought you said everyone that's here is someone I would have ended up with if I wasn't already committed to Rachel,” said David. Morgan looked at him with her mouth hanging open, but was cut off by Esmeralda.

“Don't you remember dear, the offer you got to go to Hollywood?” Rachel snapped her head over to David.

“WHAT! You never told me about that!” David blushed and couldn't meet his girlfriend's eyes.

“It was right after your accident. There was no way I was going to leave you then.” Rachel's mouth closed and she looked away.

“Well, to answer your question, if you did accept the offer, you would have met the person who made it.” Esmeralda looked over at Morgan, whose eyes widened.

“Wait a minute, you're David Edmonds! I'm a huge fan of your books!” Everyone's jaws, besides Esmeralda of course, dropped.

“Y-you’re a fan?” Before this conversation could continue, Esmeralda spoke up.

“You can nerd out later. Right now, Morgan needs to answer some questions.” Again, you know how this goes.

“My name is Morgan Rivera and I'm 26 years old. I'm bi with a preference for women, but I pretend to be straight. I'm a Hollywood actress, with my biggest role being MJ in the Spiderman movies. I've never actually met the Master, but we're fans of each other's work. I don't remember the last time I had sex, as I was very drunk, but it happened a few months ago.” Morgan covered her mouth in shock. She was about to say something, but nothing came out.
