Chapter 6 by NeedAMedic NeedAMedic

Do the Bravos continue to explore the dark jungle, or head back to the carvan?

The Bravos press on and find a strange stone circle

"Quit being such a downer" Robin scolded, shaking a finger at Liv. The girls stepped up to Liv, who stood her ground, not backing down even an inch. The two stared at each other for a moment, until Robin stepped away, a little awkwardly. "I... I believe in Becky-- if anyone can help us find that village, it'll be her! Besides, I don't see you exactly stepping up to help! Aren't you supposed to be a pretty good tracker, too, miss downy mcfrownsalot!"

Liv just stared at her. Her jaw locked angrily, thoughts clearly starting to boil behind her eyes. Becky shifted nervously, starting to step between the two when Liv spoke. "You're right. I should be helping."

With that, she started off into the woods, not giving a even second for the other Bravos to figure out what she was thinking. She made her way to where Becky had left off the trail, thick, vine-y underbrush had taken over the ground, more and more steadily as they had been walking deeper and deeper into the jungle. It was no wonder Becky had lost their sense of movement as the tracks grew more and more sparse, before finally disappearing beneath the vines entirely.

Liv rose from her crouch, as Becky opened her mouth to speak "You see, the tracks are incredibly difficult to-- hey, wait!" without a word, the stone faced Liv starting walking off, following the same direction as the tracks seemed to point. The rest of the Bravos followed a little uncertainly--it was impossible to know if Liv had figured something out, or if this was just her way of blowing off steam.

Sure enough, however, they soon found themselves approaching a clearing. It was a large, grassy space, which looked like it belonged more in the middle of a plains than in the jungle. Around the edge of it sat eight large stone statues, each depicting reptilian figures of various shapes and mannerisms striking grand poses. From a Lizardfolk kneeling, his head held low, to a dragon standing at full height, its wings flared outward mouth open as though roaring, they all seemed somehow elevated, the creatures on them bearing a supernatural air of power and authority. And beneath each of them sat an altar, many of which were decorated with gifts and tributes.

Still, it didn't seem as though they had found the village just yet. While this strange clearing might indicate they were heading in the right direction, it could also bear investigating for its own merit.

Do the Bravos examine the strange clearing, or press onward?
