They choose to explore the clearing

“What is this place…?” Robin asks quietly, as she strolls to the center of the circle. A cold air blows past the Bravos, as more walk inside the circle to investigate the shrine.

“A shrine, it shows dedication to something significant. Probably a God, in this case.” Becky explains as she, Fuu and Emmaline catch up to enter the circle. “Nice find, Liv.”

Fuu nods in agreement, while she had been checked out on the way there, scanning the trees around them for enemies lurking behind swamp foliage, Liv’s new discovery had seemed to rouse her intrigue. “I’ve seen a few in the past. At the monastery, there was a lot of reading about different cultures. Look around, maybe something we find will tell us about them.”

Liv meanwhile, gives an impatient sigh as she examines a brawny lizardfolk proudly brandishing an axe. She turns and crosses her arms, glaring at the companions. “What’s there to learn about them? They’re a bunch of thugs that worship a dragon. We should move on before we’re caught up and have to camp in this muddy hellhole.”

Becky looks as if she’s about to disagree. “Knowledge is something crucial to all of this, you know. They greatly outnumber us, perhaps examining these will exploit a weakness, or tell us how to convince them if need be.”

The conversation soon grows into another turmoil between the two Bravos, to which Robin couldn’t stand. She walks across the pasture to the other half of the circle, the side that held the powerful visage of a dragon. The wind blows harsher, the sound obscuring the group argument behind her.

As she walks towards the grand statue, an unseen stone trips her up as she crumbles to the ground, landing face first in the dirt. “Aw come on…” She mutters, quickly turning around to see if the group had seen her, but they had been too busy in their own endeavors to notice. The fall had offered Robin another perspective of the statue, one that showed a hidden indentation underneath one of the dragon’s scales, one that hid a spotless ruby, with some sort of strange sigil on the bottom.
